with success from my first grow, harvesting 3.5oz from 4 lowryder, im looking forward to my first real grow.

total 12 plants, 2 clones from a friend which are PP, and 10x skunk#1 fem from dr.chronic.

clones have been under 24hr light, a 250w cfl. have a 400w MH on standby, but im a bit broke and dont want to kill the electric bill....cos if i run that, i will have to run humidifier/fans etc.

will a 400w be sufficient for a 12 plant grow. cant really afford to get a 600, cos ive not even got a filter set up yet.

do you have a bigger space or are you growing in the little cupboard thimg?

i would think 400 watts should be ok but if im wrong someone will correct me

yeah, growing in that little spot for now because its indoors and the cfl aint hot enough to keep them warm outdoors.

then they are going in a 6ft long, 8 ft high, 3ft wide growspace, then finally a spare bedroom.

Quick update, all 10 skunk fems have popped, it looks like they might be stretching a bit??, and the clones are coming close to the top of the light.

the seedlings are about 10" from the light, is this too far even though its a 250w CFL?

tempted to fire up the 400w MH, but reluctant to.

you think they are good under the CFL for another week?

Day 13:

clones are now 8" and 7" tall, going to vedge till around 23" then flower them along with my 10x Fem Skunk#1.

switched to a 400w MH, 24 hour light for now. gonna start switching to 18 soon so they get some photosynthesis.

the seedlings have only been sprouted for 3 days and they are already showing roots at the bottom...didn't think they would need repotting so soon, and i don't have alot cash for pots because im unemployed at present. Gonna have to sort something soon.

also started at half strength nutes today for the clones, and quarter strength for seedlings.

the clones seem to be rooting so fast, i only repotted in the 2.5ltr a few days ago and already the roots are showing at the bottom.

the thing that worries me, is the roots arn't just visible through the holes, they actually poke through the holes as soon as they start to show at them, so they might end up getting snapped when i upturn to repot, because they are curving round.

Nice grow, just be very careful with the roots, if you do snap some you should still be fine, when i had to remove my males from my dwc hydro I snaped alot of roots trying to untangle them but it didnt seem to affect them really they are still going strong.

Day 28:


not much to report, they are looking healthy, pretty happy so far.

big ones are going to need some leaning support now, and im taking one of the small plants to my girlfriends to vedge under a 24hr 250w cfl indefinetly, for clones in the near future.

only thing that is bothering me, is the big clones arn't atall bushy they are very flimsy when it comes to the stems, and id rather not top the plants....or would you reccomend it? open to any advice as this is only my second grow.

tallest plant is 40cm - 15.7 inch. I want to start flowering soon, if i was to start flowering when the tallest one of the two reaches 20", what will its final height be around at harvest?.

Also, will i get a decent yield off the smaller plants if i start flowering in 2 weeks as they are a bit behind in time?, looking for around 2oz off each.
