For now, just wanted to get pics up. Please reply, any and all comments are welcome, of course.

On day 16, added an additional fluoro. This one, a 24" 17 watt with more blue in its spectrum.

Added nutes for the first time, MG 8-7-6, on day 19. A soil test, done earlier in the week, showed a nitrogen deficiency.

Day 21 photos.

i see you have all your plants staked in there already... if you could get a couple computer fans in there, or even better, an oscilating fan, blowing air over those babies and vibrating them will help 'em build nice strong stems...

just a bit of advice

oh, and good job getting the incadescents out, they're worthless for growing pot...

maybe pick up some cfls (6000k or 6500k for veg), they're cheap and work pretty well...
best of luck with your grow!!!

Air circulation is all set up. The fans were implemented to strengthen the stems. They also help to keep the temp at about 77- 80f
Humidity is low; 40-45% for the last 3 weeks. The leaves are spritzed a couple times a day, though.

The stakes were necessary for a bit of week 2. However, they are no longer needed; just haven't removed them yet.

40 - 45 is still quite acceptable though...
and i'm not taking about the fans neccesarily for ventalation, but more for direct blowing over the plants (mimics the wind)

if you have that already, ignore me =]
if not... something blowing right on the plants will help stimulate the stem to grow thicker

good growing!!!

When should they be transplanted to larger pots? Week 4? Also, wondering if its okay to bury them deep enough to shorten the stem up a bit. Is that commonly done?

yeah, actually, burying the stem, roots will come out from the stem (if you look close you'll see its real bumpy close to the soil... these bumps will prolly eventually turn in to roots once covered in dirt...)

and one easy way to tell when to repot, is when you can see the roots through the drainage holes in the bottom... you see them, you know roots are reaching the edge of the container, and needs to be repotted as to not become rootbound...

good luck with your grow!!!

I wud say transplant now m8, if its done now then roots shouldnt pop out the bottom and hence causing less stress!

Would it be beneficial to use a bit of root hormone when transplanting? to put some on the few inches of stem that will be buried? also, is it good to use a water/root stimulator solution to pre-soak the new soil in before adding the plant?
