the new seed i planted just yesterday is already smoking the hell out of the previous one. i was right to get rid of it, its not the genes i want.

it was in a paper towel for 3 days and RW for barely one and it looks better that the previous one did after a whole week in the RW. i hope its a female because the original NYC Diesel pollen wont be good for too much longer and i want to backcross it with the diesel at least once.

9-days since i planted and were on our 2nd set of serrated leaves. there was definetly something wrong with the first one i planted for it to grow so slow compared to this one.

i made a cheapo-aero cloner the other day and put my one week old northern lights cuts in it and also put the seedling in as well. hopefully i can get some speedy growth by using it. my clones have been taking at least 2 weeks to even start to root, if i can get them good and rooted in 2 wks now ill be thrilled.

BTW - the cheapo-aero cloner was indeed cheap and VERY simple to put together. i dont know how it will perform for sure, but i have very good feelings about it.

seriously, the cloner cost less than $20 all at walmart and took less that 20 min to assemble.

I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS CLONER DESIGN, it is plagurized like most of my good shit.

so yesterday i put together my cheapo aero cloner and i already love it! the clones i put in it were already in RW for a week so 2 of them had started to root and 2 had not. i also put my new seedling in the cloner still in the RW, i just skewered it witha paperclip so it didnt fall through the holes.

i didnt like any of the tube-methods of holding the clone from previous aero cloner builds so i designed my own out of those snap-on milk caps. i just drilled a hole in the middle of the cap and cut a slit from the side to the hole. just twist the lid and slide in/out the cut.

heres some pics. the two that are starting to explode roots only had a few bumps last night!

its a rubbermaid shoebox duct taped to be light tight. 2 small air pumps(one larger one tee'd off would prolly work, maybe better) with 2 airstones running 24/0, and you need to rig a method of holding the cuts in place so the roots can be removed later.

im running plain water with just 2ml 3%h2o2 per gallon phed @ 5.2

the cuts arent IN the water, theyre suspended just above the surface so when the bubbles break they send a fine mist into the air.

thanks, the cloner has me thinking about going DWC for the rest of my grow. right now i drip-feed in my veg area and have a flood table in my flower room. the way these roots are taking off i might just have to get rid of my old rig and get some bubblers!
