Smile 1st timer here...
So this is my first grow. I will post my first pics from how i started, and then the new ones i took after i took some advice.

Any help and suggestions are appreciated!

The set-up:

1 box - 30" X 30" X 4ft.
1 Bathroom fan
2 small fans
1 100watt NMH bulb/ballast
2 clones (no roots)
1 seedling

How it all started:

A buddy brings me a plant and I had nowhere to put it. It was payday. I ended up buying a bunch of stuff and set most of it up that weekend. It was too late, the plant was dead. Buddy brings me 2 clones that have yet to root. We threw those in the box but so far they look like they are on their way to death. Now I have 2 drooping clones and a seedling that just sprouted in there.

I am having temperature problems as my box is outside in my shed. I took some advice and installed survival blankets. They are sad to reflect 90% of any given heat so hopefully it helps. Ive seen an increase but not much. I may turn my fan off for now to slow down the air circulation. The big bathroom fan not the 2 small ones. I dont need it yet anyways, its there for carbon filtering.

I am willing to take almost any sensible advice to help the growth of my plants. And any advice to help my clones from dying. If they do die however I have 2 more seeds I can germinate.

I am on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Hopefully this helps anyone understand my climate. For any americans who are not familiar with this area it is near Port Angeles, Washington. Its nearing temperatures of 0 degrees celcius here right now and I am doing anything safe to help warm up my box in my shed. I have even mounted my ballast inside my box.

Now to end the story Ive written I will post some pictures. Thanks for any help, advice, or compliments guys!

These are my second pics. In this bunch I added the survival blanket to try and warm the box up. I hung the light up. I think it should be closer to the plants but im not positive. If anyone can let me know I will gladly change it. And the seedling has been added to the mix. The seedling is about 2 days cracked, and is under light for the first time. The clones have been in there for nearly 2 weeks and are only looking worse each day. Today I noticed some purple in the stem on one indication that the room is too cold from what I understand. Once again, any help is appreciated!

It's a lack of light they are searching everywhere for it. Move your light closer and add some CFL's if you can.

I would love to add more light believe me. I cant however. there is a lack of power in my 70 year old house. anything else would blow the breaker. Im going to lower the lights tonight so they get more light/heat.

Alright. Took some more advice and got the light closer to the plants. Instead of lowering/raising the light, I made use of some old paint cans, a chunk of mirror, and some left over survival blanket chunks, and turned them into a stand. I managed to get the plants around 11" from the light.

I held my hand under the light and I could get it within 2" without being burned. But like someone said to Im starting off a little further away. I will leave the box for now for a couple days and see if anything gets better.

unless anyone has anymore good suggestions. Still having a slight heat issue though. Anyone know of any other ways to heat up the box safely?

You really are not going to get any result without more light man. Your space is too big for that one light. Your plants will bud but it will be really sad and the whole time they are growing parts will be suffering from low light necrosis. Constantly dying and re-growing. Lame way to live, can you install a breaker box?
