Default 1st Grow - Dual Cabinet System - Sour Diesel, Purple Urkel Kush
Welcome to my grow. Been lurking these forums for awhile and finally decided to attempt my own grow box. Everything I have learned was from these forums as well as a book by Jorge Cervantes.

This will be a medical grow and will adhere to the laws in the state I live.

Here are my system specs:

64”W x 26”D x 66”T

1x - 400W HPS

2x - 85W Fluorescent Security Lighting 6500K

1x - 4” 171 CFM Fan

2x – Small Circulating Fan

2x – 4” Intake Fan

1x – Hydrofarm CO2 System

2x – Ebb & Flow Tray/Table

1x – ¼ HP Water Chiller

1x – DIY Bubble Cloner

1x – HO Airpump

Construction is at 95% and I have begun the grow.

Here is a recap of cabinet construction for anyone interested. You can also visit the cabinet construction thread.

These two old vending machines sparked the idea of actually attempting my own grow box. It was quite a bit of work to get these suckers clean.

I started by removing the right door and re-installing it upside down so it would open in the opposite direction of the left cabinet giving me full access to both cabinets without having to dodge a door. Then I bolted both of the cabinets together using 3/8 stainless hardware.

I then removed the shelving from the left cabinet and relocated the shelving in the right cabinet more towards the top.

I drilled and tapped ¼ holes for casters. 6 total. These cabinets are way too heavy to move around without them.

After that I cut the holes for the Cooltube exhaust and cabinet exhaust.

Next on the list was to scrub these suckers down and give them a good coat of paint using an auto sprayer. I picked green J

After paint dried I installed some mylar that I had glued to bubble wrap. (As an after thought, I think I should have installed some more heavy duty insulation under the mylar).

Then I threw some rubber mat on the floor of the cabinets.

Then it was on to install the lighting. 400W HPS and some HO Fluorescents.

I installed two small fans on the cooltube. These guys keep the light cool to the touch.

Now for the exhaust fan and ducting. I also installed some 6” flexible ducting in the back of the cabinet that will be hooked to a window A/C unit.

For the electrical panel I used ¾ melamine. 4 digital timers will take care of majority of the cabinet functions.

Then I installed a Hydrofarm CO2 system that a friend gave me. The system was installed in both cabinets and a valve was placed in the vegetative cabinet in the event I want more CO2 to go to the flowering cabinet.

I found these trays and reservoirs at a restaurant supply store. They fit well in the cabinet and have a very low overall height. I saved more than 8” going with these rather than Rubbermaid bins. These however were very expensive.

Here is the Bubble cloner. Super easy to put together. Found all parts at Home Depot (except the air pump).

And finally here is the irrigation system I put together. I can mix everything outside the cabinet and then fill the reservoirs via gravity. I also have a small pump that empties the reservoirs. I will use RO water as the municipal water in my area has a very high ppm.
