My First Grow

Okay so this is my first grow im only growing a few plants maybe up to 4 i have my little box set up under a workbench out in the work shop lined with carpet and plastic to keep it warm the seeds are in germination right now. i have 2 small pots im will start them in once they crack. In the pictures i have my light and 3 stainless pan lids to make it refelct of be brighter. I will be swicthing to CFL's once i get the budget. The space is 2ft 7in wide, 2ft 10in depth, and 2ft 5in 1/5 inchs tall. I have spent like the past 2 weeks planning reading and reading and getting the space ready to grow in and now it is i will try to keep you guys up to date. The medium is soil from my back yard with sand mixed into it. Do i really need to add fertalizer? While the seeds are cracking open i have about 3 days so i gotta build a door and make it light proof. For when i switch to 12 on and 12 off. So please tell me what you think and any tips you can give me thanks : D

I removed the lid closest to the door way. I have added a door also. Still have problems with light leaks which will be fixed soon. Today i just put two seeds into the pots without germination i know i know i shouldn't have but i couldn't wait to get them started i hope they come up. I have got more seeds in a paper towel now though so if they dont next 2-3days ill be ready to put more in : D.

Cool man thanks if i do i will let you know im thinking about not topping the plants then again i might i saw yours without topping and they look pretty good

eventually you're gonna need more light , but for now thats fine. hope it starts out right for you.

yea i figured as much that im going to need more light just dont have the money right now to get it sucks.

If you live in the US , Look on Craigslist for hps lights. you can find street lamps that are HPS and MH light {high pressure Sodium} Use the HPS to flower and for 4 plants a 150 watter plus 2 or 3 CFL"S will do you real nice. Get the CFL" in the white or blue spectrum, that way you can cover the whole spectrum. if i can help you i will.
