Hello everyone,
This is my very first grow journal on RIU. This will be my third small grow now, but (hopefully) only my 2nd successful one. I will be using a small cabinet I am outfitting to hold a 100 watt HPS lamp, and I will be using 1/3 soil and 2/3 perlite mixture. I will be growing two small plants and posting the pictures every day or so. This picture is from yesterday, so technically this grow began on January 7th.
I do not grow for yield or to sell; more for personal pleasure. Whatever I get from these plants, I will smoke for myself or drop a bud on a friend. So keep in mind this might be boring for those of you who like seeing massive yields Without further ado, here is day 1! I will update tomorrow when I plant the seeds (they should have sprouted by then) Thanks for looking!!

Edit: Oops, I forgot to mention about the plants - they are some random seeds a friend of mine dropped on me. He says they are probably indica, but only time will tell. So you all will be figuring this out with me! Haha.

As promised, another update. Today is day 3, after two days in the wet paper towel, my seeds still have not sprouted, but I have decided to plant them anyway. Here is a simple picture of them sitting in their new home, my small cabinet. I will update again once they have breached the soil!

Well we are making progress. Today I had my first sprout! Only 1/2 so far though, the other little fella is taking it's time. Today is day 6 a Good day!!

Hello everyone!
Great news today. Both plants have breached since my last update. Not only that, they appear to be thriving! Although I am a little worried about the height they are reaching without the leaves coming out. I am thinking they must be sativa? Regardless, they are looking good. Here's a picture:

The one on the left was the first one to pop; the one on the right was the slow bloomer. I apologize for the lighting, HPS makes it difficult. Will continue updating.

Hey man looking good. How far away from your plants is the HPS sitting? They may be stretching for light. Even thought they're seedlings you might be able to move the light closer to them without burn. Anyways, Good Luck! Hope all goes well.

Hey sfcc thanks for reading my journal.
The plants are about 2 feet away from the HPS lamp. I would lower the lamp, but I purchased it used and it did not come with hangers. I just drilled a hole, about 10"x12" on the top of my cabinet, and I have the ballast sitting on top of that. Today they are spreading wider leaves. I watered them and will be posting tomorrow's progress with pictures Keep smokin
