This is my first grow. Just got some AK47 and WW seeds from a friend who grows and am crossing my fingers on sex since I'm only starting with 4. eek.
Doing an indoor grow with CFLs in 2'x4'x5' area.
Using 4 27W, 2 32W, 2 42W for vegging and some low spec CFLs and 250W HPS for flowering.
Growing in foxfarm ocean soil. Haven't used any nutes yet. They're only 13 days old!
I'll keep this updated. Hopefully my cats don't get into this one some how again.. gr.
First picture is the 2 AKs and 2 WW.. 12/28. The one on the right was the last trying survivor from the first batch which my cats broke into and munched on. I had to toss it. ha

welll it's been 8 days... So day 21. They're getting big! sniff.
The AKs are about 5.5" and the Widows are about 4.5". They probably would have been taller if i raised the light sooner. whooops
Still no nutrients.. maybe in another week.
The bottom leaves started drying up on the tips about 5 days ago but it doesn't look like it's caused any problems with new growth. I'm not sure what caused it though?? It didn't spread too much so I'm not too worried about it.

I'm not sure if I am going to use nutes for the last week or 2 of vegging.. is Grow Big something I should look into getting? I've been debating.
The only thing i've added to the soil is a few extra cups of perlite and i'm planning on adding a small amount of h2o2 when watering from here on out. Is something like Grow Big going to make a noticeable difference? Or am I just going to complicate things?

I put them in 3 gallon pots a couple days ago.. thats all i had room for in my box.

I'm not sure if they're stretching too much? I'm also not so sure if or when or.. how to prune. I've been looking around a bit. Finding mostly readings on topping and fimming. Not such great stuff on pruning.. anyone have some good video or guides I could watch/read?
I don't think I'm going to top, either.. I've got to do some reading first to see how new cola's form on AKs and Widows.
There's some weird random marks on a few of the leaves of my AKs. I'm not sure what they are. I was wondering if they were water spot burns or something. But it doesn't really get that hot and I don't spray them.. and some of the marks showed up yesterday morning after i hadn't watered for a couple days.
have my 400w hps stuff and mh convert coming next week.
hopefully i can pull some clones out when it comes :]
