Hey. I just started to grow 4 plants in a sketchy home made set up in my closet. Its day 18 and they seem to be going pretty well for only 45w of flouros.

Unfortunately due to my space requirements this is the maxiumum amount of light i think ill be able to use but im not positive.

I am planning on forcing them into flowering in a couple weeks once they've hopefully grown to about 8"-10".

Right now they're only about 4" tall and i can't tell if they're growing at a slow rate. Is home made Co2 worth while?
Anyone have any tips? Thanks.

If you are limited on space as far as lighting goes, you need more light. I would recommend using a Y connector so you can have two cfl's in the same place as one. You are going to want more light if you want more bud.

Right now i've got 4 15w tubes that are plant spectrum. Ive got 4 vegging so im assuming htat there will only be 1 or two females. Are you recommending that i remove the tubes and put a bunch of CFL's in?

Keep the tubes add more CFLS

the space is mad small, i don't know if ill be able to do that:-/.

Hey. It's day 26. I can't tell if they're growing good or not. They go from about 5' to 8'. im thinking ill turn the lights to 12/12 in a week or so.

What do you think?

it seems like there are tiny little leafs growing at all of the nodes. whats up with those?

those would become branches/secondary growth...if you had enough light. and each branch could grow to have a soda-can sized cola...if you had enought light. That secondary growth is what some cut off and re-plant in order to make clones.

Do not flip the lights to 12/12 until most of the the Branches/secondary (growth between the nodes) establishes. If you were to start budding without letting the branches grow out, the plant would become one long cola without any popcorn buds or undergrowth, and would yeild very little.

if you dont have the space for the Tubes and CFL's then Id say ditch the tubes and stuff that closet full of CFL's. They can get so much closer without space issues and get really close to the spots where you need the light intensity to be.

Even if its just 2 - 45W CFL above each plant thats only 360W (22,000+ Lumens) total and there will barely be a change in the light bill.
