Awesome, Wanted to see a LED grow in progress. I caught this thread just at the correct time. And, you are only a few days ahead of my grow. I have to admit, for 1 week, your plants are looking great. I can't wait to see the end results. And watching yours grow with mine, is even going to be a double bonus.

im planning on phasing all my hid kinda mh hps lights out and switch to led and cfl lights. let me know how these work, im not sure how to subscribe since im new to this site. from what ive been reading if you have enough led's you wouldnt need anyother lights. what kinda price did you pay im watching some on fleabay rt now.

Ooohhhh, this should be interesting. Subscribed here. It'll be good to see how the LED panels work out. Count me in the 99% that talked crap about LEDs, but I have experience with them (non-growing) and don't think the lumen output is quite there yet to be as effective for flowering. I bet they'll supplement the 400W HPS quite nicely though!

I am one of those 99% as well but with the for veg exception. I think they will be a great investment for Veging when vs CFLs or <400w HID. Their life is ridiculously long and I dont believe that they have a intensity fade over life as the other solutions.

Wow thats pretty expensive for light emitting diiodes. But then again, your getting it pre built. I have much experience with LED's, (Non Growing) and to tell you the truth, I never thought of using them for growing. Its a great idea, and would be very very very cheap if you built it your own. All you really need to know is how to solder, how to tell + from - and ofcourse, setting up the powersupply.

Maybe I should build my own? This is great though, I really can't wait to see your results. I would give you rep again if I could, lol. Thats just awesome.

Kratose I pulled off the back cover, thinking about doing the same thing but about fainted when I saw all the time it would require to solder 216 connections, not to mention getting those big-ass LED's. These are not the small ones you find in flashlights. For a set of three, I didn't think $400 was bad considering the money they will save me over using a 400w. I could half the distance I have the lights above the plants and still be very safe but since they are growing three times as fast as my last two grows, I'm happy. You want updates, you got em. Notice that the one plant (typical of all) was 6.5" wide yesterday and today it's over 7.5" wide! There is one plant that is really strange; it's got the two seedling leaves but no true leaves. It has roots dangling about 3" long into the air from the net basket. I didn't pick up the rez lid today but yesterday the roots were nearly a foot long and covered with tiny white hairs.

Looking forward to watching how the LEDs fair.

Are you useing CFLs as well?
