So i have 5 1 week old seedlings and four more seeds germing. im going to veg these until i can sex them and then pick out a mother n flower the rest. This is my first grow so i need all the help i can get lol. im using a 125 watt cfl 25000K blue spectrum light atm. im gonna change it to the 6400K next week. and im planning to get 12 30 watt cfls later to flower. pics coming in a bit. any advice is more then welcomed!!!

What kinda hydro system you using? DWC? It looks good tho so far, lol even thought its so early. Plants are gonna be crowded though, which isnt bad but im growing DWC with similar spacin and i vegged for a month and now im 4 weeks into flowering and the plants are 3 feet tall and touching the celing of the room theyre in (almost). if it is DWC just be weary of how much space you have, cuz the jump from veg to flower makes the double or more in size.

ya its dwc. ya im worried about the height as well too but i have no choice cuz i need a mother. i see, what are u growing? hindu kush is suppose to be short so i hope it doesnt get too tall. thx and good luck to u 2!

Im growing white widow. And DWC is SICK. The plants just grow like crazy, its awesome. But ya, when i was vegging they stay short (about a foot) so you shouldnt worry too much about the mother plant, but when they flower BOOm. So wait..is your plan to grow the 5 or 6 you got there and flower them, or take clones from them and flower those?
But man..point being: Don't sleep on them, cuz they are gonna grow huge out of nowwhere AND ITS GONNA BE AWESOME lol

Oh and actually I can give you a piece of advice that i wish i would have been given for DWC. If your using decent nutrients, don't mess with pH up pH down stuff. If the pH is in a decent range then just leave it (like..5.5 ish ..round there). I was all paranoid with the pH and it ended being for the worst than better, and after i left it all went great.

lol i see. well i got 5 in ther 4 seeds thats just finished germing so i got a total of 9 im gonna keep these going until i can sex them. throw out the males and pick the best one to be the mother plant. then flower all the others. so im just gonna keep one and flower the rest. i see thats actually good advice. my nute is made from the hydro shop i go to and its already pHed and the guy said i wouldnt have to mess with the pH but i wasnt sure tbh, so i guess ill just leave the pH alone. thanks man!

Oh okay i think i get it, but your gonna have to flower them to determine their sex. So ur mother plant would be flowered? Cuz im pretty sure that its significantly harder to clone a plant that is already flowered. Maybe im just retarted and am gettin it wrong lol. He does what i think you wanna do (in part 7 or 8 iunno), he grows the plants in veg for a bit, then clones all of them and flowers them right away to determine the plant from which they came from sex, and then he picks one as his mother from the ones he already knows are female. lol iunno if i explained it well, but you should watch the videos, theyre a great overview
