I think I am just going to do the 1 month veg and try to have 12. I have been told from some people that with one light you can do either 6 big ones or 12 little ones, I might just have to try each scenario to get it right. I think I am going to go with the 12 at first if I can.

Theres no actual limit or rule, thats all depinding on the light, the reflector, how long you veg them, what kind of plant/strain, the tecnics you use to trim them or to tie them down, the space in the closet, the fans, and a lot more factors. And last but not least it depends on how full do you like or are you able to handle your closet, and if you love all around nice and healthy plants or if you don't care if some plants or lower parts don't get all the light they would need...



About the Sex:
If you Veg them for more then 4-5 weeks, you maybe can figure out wich are the female ones before changing light to 12/12 but still I wouldn't throw away the others or just take clones from the best probably female Plant, 'couse it's not 100%
You can see it if they get something like #1 on the pics I postet yesterday. Forget this the males are more tall bullshit, there are lots of other reasons that make a plant more tall then the others, it has always to be male.

Well I will be honest max I really need to get the best yield out of everything. But I do respect the plant and I want to be able to treat them the best and make them as healthy as possible. If from what you have seen and heard about my set up, can you please tell me what is the best method to get yield from.

I would say scrog it & hydro it! or you could do the Al B Fuct Style which is what I will be doing.

Plants are looking real good and healthy. It has been hot the last week so the temperature has pretty much stayed about 83 with the lights on and about 78 with them off. The humidity is still low around 30 but I cant quite seem to raise it with just putting water in the room.

I know I am only two weeks into veg but I have a feeling that I should be able to tell the sex. The plants had been under a flourecent for about a month before I started this two week veg. So dont you all think sex should be determined or do I have to wait the full 4 weeks of vegging with the 600?

Well, I have not had a batch that ever showed sex during veg except for my current one that are 7 weeks. And only one is showing. I was not expecting to find out till flower time. But the others look normal for vegging. You may never find out till flower which is usually what you have to do.

I was doing a little research about those Blueberry from DJ Short, and I've seen they are supposed to be 80%Indica.
Sativa after 5 weeks usually show if they are female, Indica usually don't show it, so I guess Blueberry is not gonna show you.

Wait 'till you can take 5 clones of each Plant and put the big ones into flower after doing so. When they show their Sex, throw away the males and their clones, and select 1 or 2 mothers out of them...

For further on theres lot's of different ways to go.
I everytime would use 15-20 clones, and just veg them till they are a little less then a foot tall(25-30cm), and put them into 3,5L buckets for flowering, square buckets are the best if you can get some.
In total those indica's will get about 2 feet, if you do so, maybe even a little less.
With more plants but small plants you can get lots of good weed very fast, almost all comercial growers in europe do so.
Usually you will have healthy plant's this way 'couse even the low leafs and buds will get enough light.

Max again coming through in the clutch with the great idea. I actually just checked my pots and they are 3.4 liter pots. I think the plan should be to veg for another 2 weeks. Then take 6 clones from each. Take 1 clone from each set of the 6 and veg those for a week and then flower just so we can tell the sex. Then I will pick 12 female clones (hopefuly I have 3 females) and then start to flower those after I find out the sex. This way I can keep the mother poants straight from seed.

I heard that it is better to keep the mother from the seed because it doesnt loose potency.

Also what height should my current plants be at before I cloan.

Everything seems to be going real well. I have noticed a lot of change the past couple days. I had one plant that was smaller than the other and struggling a bit but when I added the fox farm to the soil it seems to start to be catching up. I have gotten a lot of great suggestions so keep em coming.

It's not about the height, you can take clones when there are enough branches the size you want for your clones, and for shure there must be enough of the mother left so it can recover and build new branches fast.

I recomend to use the head of your plants for a clone too, so mothers won't get too high, it's usually the best clone, and your mother will get two heads for the next time.


Clones are the same age as their mothers, the first few month they gain potency, then very very slowly they start to loose a little bit of potency.
But it's better if you use the plants from seeds as mothers, becouse sometimes anything wents wrong and further clones start to cripple or get hermies very easy, but its not usual and every more clones you take from a mother than more clones you can take the next time, if you would start to make a mother from a clone this would need a long time 'till it's a "good" mother.

Even if it's possible to use a mother for several years, after a year or so usually it's better to make some new mothers if you wish you can do it from clones(keep in mind very slowly they are loosing potency) or you just buy other Seeds.
For shure when you are going to do so, flower you former mothers, they will bring more buds than any other plant.
