If I were you, I would get a 400w hps. They are not much more, if any, than the 150w light shown on ebay in the previous post. Make sure the ballast is seperate from the hood so it can sit outside of your growing area. If you want the 150 w light, you can get a security light at home depot or Menards for cheap. I have read that they work very well.
Also, HTGSupply is by far the best place I have found anywhere to order this sort of thing.

Ya i really dont want to sell anybody anything, lol hell i will need it again . the 400 watt HPS from HTGsupply is 150 Shipped on ebay still an awesome deal, but temps get hotter with that 400 watter.

And to answer your question about the different wattages. if you buy a 150 watt hps ballast hood, and bulb, you cannot upgrade with a bigger bulb you would need a 400 watt ballast and bulb,ect. So if you want to upgrade just get the 400 watter off the bat, but it is more expensive to run as frar as ur light bill goes, my light bill went from 32 bucks a month to 85 so ya you do the math, and that was only 12/12 i used my150 watter for veg so 18/6 lightss then i could not imagine 18/6 or even 24/7 with a 400 watter shit getz expensice.

Yeah, I've never used 150 w, but I know for in a 3'x5'x8' closet 400 w worked beatifully for me... at first I was frying my plants, but when I somewhat figured out ventilation and light spacing I was good.

I have flowered under cfls, and hps and there is no comparison... But, I have seen some pretty awesome results with fluoros

well i spent all night making a box out of a rolling tupperware bin thingy... as soon as i find my fucking camera i'll take pics for you guys...

as far as the plant goes, its doing well after recovering from the day i dropped it... a few leaves have brown spots but the new growth is still coming in very well... next week when i get paid im going to invest in some more lights; probably 4 more 26 watt cfl's.. i think im using the wrong spectrum for vegging right now but im not sure... so im gonna do some more research and when my check comes next week i'll go shopping and get what i need.

I need to buy a timer also... right now i have light on 24/7. Does anyone know if that is unhealthy for the plant? i mean i know its not normal but should i switch to 18/6 when i get a timer until i go into flowering?
