Setup: Stocke Aerogarden Classic w/ aquarium pump & airstone, mylar survival blanket, and general hydroponics florabloom and floragrow. extra 50w cfl w/ reflector for flowering and vitalsine ph tester in the mail on the way.

i planted 7 seeds from maybe 4 different bags of funk from the last month last friday after doing a test run with a male for 2 months to get the whole aerogarden grow thing down. as of this morning, 5/7 are out of the domes, while 1 didn't germ and came up thyme (didn't get all the seeds out of that pod i guess), and 1 didn't germ so i dropped another seed into it on sunday.

i'm running on tomato setting until they're old enough to top, then i'm going to wait a week or 2 and flower with the new light and the stock light.

i started with the stock aerogarden nute tabs and am waiting until week 2 to start the floragrow. i'm keeping it at a steady 80 degrees on the grow surface so far. i live in the states so i'm kind of sketch about puttin up pics, but once i get something more than sprouts, i'll post. any and all input is greatly welcome. thanks and stay tuned...

hah, nice! I just started my new grow journal on sort of this same kind of test.. crappy bagseed.. you went aeroponic.. I went hydro.. it should be interesting seeing how 'funk' grows in a decent environment.. do you have any idea what strain they could possibly be?

hey, has anyone ever considered being able to tell a male from a sprout by the fact that it's more spindly and taller than the others that popped at the exact same time? just curious b/c the last one, which was male looked just like one i have now that's way tall than the others.

I'm not sure but I have heard that males tend to grow faster then females, but you always have to try to have a good ratio, I'm going to germ 5 seeds when I start to get at least a 50/50 chance

No it really dont make a difference how things go this early. Once they get bigger its how they take to there environment which really factors the sex of the plant. Also an overstressed plant more than usual turns out male as well. At least in my experience it always turns out that way.

no idea. but my buddy that i got it from consistenly gets ak and different hazes, so with any luck it'll be pretty dank. he gave me some old black haze seeds that i'm gonna see if they'll germ. (he said they're over a year old)

yea I said I wasn't sure haha, it was somthimg I have heard, over stressed plants do turn out male, and the conditions do factor but it's still basically a crap shoot
