From the FAQ:

"The plant "senses" the longer nights by a direct interaction with light. A flowering hormone is present during all stages of growth. This hormone is sensitive to light and is rendered inactive by even low levels of light. When the dark periods are long enough, the hormones increase to a critical level that triggers the reproductive cycle. Vegetative growth ends and flowering."

Not to totally contradict myself but I wanted to post this as well:
"Consider that Cannabis can flower outdoors under the light of the full moon, so if your grow room is that dark, you should be OK. Having said that, it's best to make it as dark as possible. Plug all light leaks and be liberal with the black plastic. "

Even small times to peak in may mess that up, that is what helps delay the showing of sex and also giving it a BETTER chance of turning hermie. Thats why I said 24 hours of pure dark may help kick start it, but more advisable to do that the first day of 12/12. I have heard stories that after going 12/12 a plant wasnt showing sex and it was actually the light on the surge protector kept if from turning (sounds weird, but thats what someone said). They had an unusually long time before showing sex and when they covered that light up it started sexing.

And what is going to cause it to go hermie is going back to too much light, not less. Do the plants turn hermie as the days get shorter? Or if there is no sun because the clouds block it for two straight days?

I notice you post a lot in the morning, I would think your best best is to alter the time just enough to put the lights out when your less likely to check on it and make sure you put the time for the lights on the usual time you would want to check it.

IT NEEDS 12 HOURS COOOOOOOOOOOMPLETE DARKNESS! Small chance but this could be what is delaying it!!!!!!!!

I always shut the closet door and put a towel under the bottom atleast by 5pm, an hour before it shuts off and i dont go in there till the lights come back on. I had to check last night because i didnt check to see if the leaves were too close to the lights for when they come on in the morning.

Yea I wouldn't really worry bout it much, little variances won't hurt. But man im impatient! I have two seeds just pop the soil yesterday and both propped up this morning.

It doesn't help I quit smoking this stuff until I get a new job (my current job stresses me out pretty bad). This is at least helping me to keep busy.

dude said on the last page aroung week 2 of 12/12 is when they show 2 day before 2 days afater but keep upbeat because the branch formation on that stem is perfect i dont see why it wouldnt be female??
