The plants are out of control, they are growing so much! Everything is going great, so well in fact that if it wasn't for thanksgiving next week I would probably start flowering them, but I just have to much to do. I decided that I am going to change out all of the neoprene sleeves to bigger ones and remove the white covers. Also, the three Ak-47's have all lost their shells and are above the surface, I'm just giving them just a little plain water when the cubes look dry(about once every 6 hours). Stats for the day: 24 Clone Setup: 15 gallons of water/25 gallon rez (pump timer is set to 1 minute ON and 5 minutes OFF) PH- was at 8.5, brought it down to 5.8 Nutrients - 1.1ml per gallon of H&G's Roots Excelurator (for the first 5 weeks), 6.5ml per gallon of H&G's Aqua Flakes A&B (for week 4), 5ml per gallon of Botanicare Cal-Mag plus(every week) PPM- 857 Temperature - Air 74.8 degrees F, water 73 degrees RH- 48% 6 Mother Clone Setup: 15 gallons of water/25 gallon rez (pump timer is set to 1 minute ON and 5 minutes OFF) PH- was at 8.3, brought it down to 5.8 Nutrients - 1.1ml per gallon of H&G's Roots Excelurator (for the first 5 weeks), 6.5ml per gallon of H&G's Aqua Flakes A&B (for week 3) PPM- 843 Temperature - Air 79.3 degrees F, water 75 degrees RH- 49% Pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() New Sleeves: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() K well that's it for now, I'll update again on saturday. Hey guys, so I have been reading up on phenotypes and after observing my plants I realized something.
When I took the the 24 clones, I took the skywalker from two different moms. What I didn't notice then is that one of them is much more of a sativa phenotype than the other, judging by the leaf structure. It is much more obvious now, since reading up on phenotypes, that some of the skywalker clones are much more sativa looking compared to the other regular ones. Skywalker is supposed to be a 100% indica, so all around the leaves should all be the same looking with an indica structure, wide pedals that are stuby looking. This is what is interesting, the skywalker should all look the same, but I guess that one seed's genetics (that the sativa pheno clones were from) slipped towards the sativa side with some of its characteristics. All I can see right now is that the leaf structure is definitively different in some of the skywalkers, but I don't really know if I will end up with two different types of skywalker bud, we will just have to wait and see. Thankfully when I took the two clones for the skywalker moms for next time, I happened to grab one sativa phenotype out of the two! I'm really anxious to see the difference in the bud this time around between the two different phenotypes, and am so thankful I ended up with a mom for each phenotype for next time if there ends up being a difference. Skywalker regular indica leaf structure: ![]() Skywalker sativa phenotype leaf structure: ![]() They are the same strain, skywalker, but as you can see the structure of the second leaf has skinnier/longer pedals (sativa characteristics) compared to the one up above with definitive wider pedals that are short and stuby (indica characteristics). I can't take pictures of every leaf, but the difference is that noticable with all of the leaves. One of the mothers is definitively more sativa looking, and if you didn't know that where the same strain they could almost pass of for being different strains all together. As to how the bud will turn out though, and how much of a difference there is...we will have to wait and see. If there is a difference I hope to be able to tell the difference in the fade but the same blueberry aroma and taste all around, I'm stoked! |

Skywalker is a hybrid of a 100% indica blueberry and a 100% indica mazar... Interesting difference though... give it time and see if those widen up... My SFV OG mother is a heavily indica dominant plant, and for some reason it's leaves don't widen up until about a two or three weeks into the development of the leaf.
either way... skywalker is INCREDIBLE. |

Whats up guys, have a few things to mention with the 24 clones. Yesterday I went to go change out all of the neopreene sleeves to the bigger ones and I noticed that the clones have grown so much that the bottom of the netcups were literally choking them. I am sure this has been affecting their growth and to be honest I never expected this to be a problem, but luckily I caught the problem before it got even worse. I raised the light about 4 inches cause the plants were getting a little too close. I also flipped the lid around so that the bigger plants are towards the front and the smaller ones in back. Stats for today: 24 Clone Setup: 15 gallons of water/25 gallon rez (pump timer is set to 1 minute ON and 5 minutes OFF) PH- was at 7.3, brought it down to 5.8 Nutrients - 1.1ml per gallon of H&G's Roots Excelurator (for the first 5 weeks), 7ml per gallon of H&G's Aqua Flakes A&B (for week 2 of veg), 7ml per gallon of Botanicare Cal-Mag plus(every week) PPM- 894 Temperature - Air 71.2 degrees F, water 73 degrees RH- 48% 6 Mother Clone Setup: 15 gallons of water/25 gallon rez (pump timer is set to 1 minute ON and 5 minutes OFF) PH- was at 7.4, brought it down to 5.8 Nutrients - 1.1ml per gallon of H&G's Roots Excelurator (for the first 5 weeks), 7ml per gallon of H&G's Aqua Flakes A&B (for week 2 of veg) PPM- 823 Temperature - Air 75.4 degrees F, water 73 degrees RH- 52% Pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yes I would agree, the light was around 2 feet away at first, then I moved it closer as seen in the pics. I just transplanted them into cups yesterday and burried the stock so it's just the tip popping out. I plan on doing it when I transplant them into the 2.5 gallon buckets later too. Also I put the light as close as it could go yesterday too, if I were to put the light any closer they would burn (using a 100watt), so this will have to do. All the seeds I have started start like this I think maybe I should get a few smaller watt bulbs so that I could put them closer, less heat and all, instead of one big one.

I ended up taking the Ak-47's out of soil and built a sort of bubbleponics system today, just doesn't have airstones yet because the roots aren't going to reach the water for a while. With everything going on this next week I just won't be able to water them every day if they were to be in soil. This should make it easier all around anyways, so I'm happy with the change.
Pictures: ![]() Sorry this one is so bright, but the camera died right after I took it heh... Yeah....I know....this pictures blows lol. I will try and get some better ones with the log I post tomorrow. Talk to you guys then. |

Really well actually, almost a week into flowering. I will post some pics tonight, and will show the harvest later on, but I don't think I'm going to continue with the journal because I just have to much stuff going on. If anyone ever wants an update though, just say so and I will try and post some progress. |
