morning all, thought i would quikly give an update while im smoking 1 b4 i go to work.erm, getting perlite ph tester kit and temp gauge today, also last nite i added another cfl(20watt, equevelent to 115w giving out 1350 lumens). heres a pic of this mornibg all 6 have false leaves open and first set growing. plant 1 in bottom right is storming its now 5 days old.peace all.

What compost are you using?

I wouldnt worry about the PH tester, pretty much all the composts sold over here are made from ingredients that buffer the PH for you.

Iv never touched anything to do with PH in all my years growing in compo, have a look at my plants in my journal

Well theyre coming along nicely! Have you got the big CFL yet? A 200w red one should do you great. Ive never done anything about pH either but this time round I plan on regular flushing just to get rid of bad build ups which im hoping will help keep the pH good.

hey londoner, the compost johning no2 soil compost, ive heard good things about it from my gardening friends. hey queenbee, im going to pick the big cfl up on monday because that is when my next day off is, also unfortunatly work went on later than expected so coudnt pick the bits up i wanted but will be getting them tomoz. neways i got go pub,then for a chinese. i be bak on tomoz at some point. oh and by the way londener "storman norman" is still going lol =-)

Yea pretty much all john innes compo's are good, i use westlands west+ multi purpose with john innes, never had a problem with it yet.

Dont worry about your PH in that compo, it dont need it, honestly.

Lets hope storming norman is female eh maybe we should start calling it storming norma instead
