This is my first proper grow. Feels good to say. I have been waiting to do this for 6 years, shit I still remember hearing people on the forums say..."dont be an idiot and do it in your parents house." Well hot damn Im out and about and finally got my own space, some seeds from adam, and a 430 watter with a son agro bulb I snagged from my college proffessor. Gotta love the green state eh?

The seeds are from the Sensi seed bank in Amsterdam, strain Hindu Kush, and I plan on making some fine bubble hash out of the trimmings and about half the buds.

Im about 21 days in at the moment, and their looking pretty good considering I had some reall fucked up heat issues over the past couple of weeks...The set up is like this....

The Closet

7 Feet High x 4 Feet Wide x 2 Foot Depth


Minus the one wall that is made from stone, the closet is entirely blueboard/dry wall which was a total bitch to work around at first, but finally i got securing things down.

Rigged a 400 watt hps from chain about two feet over my plants. Bought a squirrel fan, some insulated tubing, and a flange for a different ballast, and rigged it up to pump air out from the hood, and into the walls. I know people are split over whether this is a good idea or not, honestly my humidity levels are low and my lease runs up in 6 months so i could care less if some mold starts growin in between my walls. My landlord is a piece of shit slumlord with no respect for anyone so fuck em.






Have two oscillating fans that stir up air at the bottom of the cab and help it dissapate from around my plants. Also have an ionizer that I picked up for about 10 bucks from wally world that helps move air around also. So far, with this venting setup, and cold ass temps outside, my closet stays around 78-83 degrees with my hps running 24 hours a day.









Also rigged up a sunsystem t5 flourescent that I used for vegging for side lighting. This bounces off the mylar nicely. Ive stuck the weaker plants next to it to bolster some leaf growth.


The plants are in FoxFarm Ocean Forest with about two inches of clay pellets at the base to help with drainage. I made a huge mistake and transplanted them into some shit mg organic soil about two weeks ago, so this is a recent change.

Ive been giving them a low dose of some vegging fertilizer until the shock from a fucked up transplant wears off. Upped it today to about half a tsp per 1000 liters of water and in the past hour have grown considerably.

Just to clarify, their are only 5 pot plants, in 2 gallong buckets i believe. Thats one pepper plant, a jade plant, and the empty pots have some cumin and coriander germinating. My woman likes spices, what can i say. Heres a shot of that t5 i mentioned...



by the way, the leaves have gotten considerable darker in the past 24 hours and the stems alot more purple. is the purple bud phenotype common to this strain? im assuming it gets cold in afghanistan...also, anything you guys know about the strain is much appreciated. all i know came off the sensi website...peace

Kicked a one gallon jug of cider this afternoon, went and bought some packets of yeast and about a pound of sugar. Post an update when my co2 rig is set up...

A couple questions though...

1. How much yeast should I add?
2. Will it actually produce enough co2 to not get sucked up by my venting system and shot out my closet?

yea smokey i hear you. Because im sucking in air from my room it hasnt been a huge problem. Ive also blocked out my windows with black felt. Im thinking of punching a hole through the wall and connecting some tubing to the wall in my growroom, so i could seal off the light down there. making it extra stealthy.

I just got a new door from home depot for about 30 bucks, drilled a six inch whole at the top and at the bottom. i vent out the top and new air is pulled in through the bottom due to the suction from the ex. fan. it works great, i put filters in the wholes to block the light and bent the tubing.

when do you guys think i should toss them under 12/12. if you need more pics to tell ill post em soon, need a new cam..
