Whats up guys. Since I last updated growth has been steady. Unfortunately the 6 seeds I was germinating failed and the one that did sprout had mold on it, so I got them out of there.

Today I noticed some brown spots on one of the lower leaves of one of my girls. It seems to be a pattern, but I can't tell. Nothing major though... maybe light burn, this big ass CFL is kinda close.

Anyway, here we go.

looks like either ph imballance. watch your wet dry cycles.
or it is potasium deficiency, witch could also be from wrong watering schedule causing the ph to be off.
not heat, if it is heat the edges of the leaves curl upwards.
it`s called canoeing

OK I don't have a way to test ph right now, I guess I'll go buy a meter in the morning.

What do you mean by wet dry cycles? I water about every three or four days, whenever the top layer is real crusty.

wet/dry is your watering schedule.
let it dry up more han just the top. should let them get almost bone dry all the way down.
it dosen`t look to bad so just keep an eye on it.
if you haven`t ph`d it yet then i would say that is the problem.....always check ph everytime,
mine here changes everytime i use the water. shity old house and pipes are affecting it here.

When do you think I should go into flowering? I mean, I'm not trying to take up a lot of space on this grow.

all up to you when you flower. i do try to get them close to maturity age ( about 6 weeks)
but depends on your hight and lights. they should roughly grow 3x in flower.
also with smaller lights keep them small to, less lumens.

if you can afford to get a good digi ph pen then do it. if not just get a liquid ph tester......not one for swimming pools.
about 70 bucks for digi and about 8 bucks for liquid. digi is much more accurate, but liquid will get you through it.

Okay, I just got home from work, picked up a pH test kit on the way home. Haven't tested it yet, but I will after this post.

Just wanted to say that I started flowering on Tuesday night. Man, this is fucking crazy, they've already stretched like an inch since I started. I'm thinking that flowering will take about 8-9 weeks, but I am prepared to wait untill the time is right.

Just ordered some more seeds from Nirvana last night for my next grow. I decided to go with their 100% sativa, 'traveling thai'. I'm looking to grow the thai in my v-drip while growing 6 Medusa seeds I saved in a new DWC system I bought.

Might keep one of the male thai's to breed with a medusa... wait. Is a feminized strain okay to breed with? Oh well, I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Anyway, check out the girls...

First just straight shots, then upclose of the first pistils, finished by some top shots.

pH read at around 6.0 maybe a few points less. Is that good or bad?
