First (real) grow-bagseed & NL x Skunk

Ok so this is my first grow w seeds ive bought or wtvr so ima see how this goes. Im using a 400 watt hps light, and organic choice miracle grow (dont hate..)Ill be focusing on the bagseed for now until the NLxSkunk shows some more growth. (btw germed 4 of 5 g13 fem seeds) so heres some pics of the setup an whatnot, the plants are a week or so old. Im kinda experimenting so i used 2 diff soil mixes for the bagseed, 1 mix with perlite an 1 with vermiculite.
What seems to be the problem with the one in vermiculite? The one in perlite seems to be doing better. Does this look like a ph problem because i do have a ph meter but its a shitty one from lowes. All imput/suggestions appreciated.

Ok big fuckup..never use fuckin vermiculite, no idea where that costly ass idea came from but apparently vermiculite dryed out 3 of 4 NL x skunk seedlings (first pic, all three seeds looked like that :[ )
The one i planted in miracle grow organic choice, w perlite seems to be doing ok ( seedling pic ) and i still have 1 NLxskunk i havent germed..so ill be germin it today.

This is kinda lame, a full week and #1
is still having problems shedding the shell.
#2 is showing first leaves.
The rest of the journal will be for
the NlxSkunk only.*Just found out how
to do thumbnails, all further pics will be..

plants look good. sorry to hear about the seeds that died on you. I've heard that when a plant can't shed its shell you can take it off gently. good luck

Your grow looks great man.. And for being a week into it and already have 2 set of leaves your doing an above average job

I just ditched my cfls for the hps I had.. Unfortunately I only have an exhaust right now but am getting the intake in a couple of days..
