My plans;
1) 1-600W SWITCHABLE (MH/HPS) REMOTE BALLAST WITH AIR COOLED HOOD. i LOOKING AT A LIGTH MOVER, DEPENDS ON EXPENSE.
2) GROW IN SOIL
3) PLAN ON GROW IN IN AN APT BEDROOM CLOSET. BUT I WILL TAKE THE CLOSET DOORS OFF AND EXTEND THE GROW AREA OUT OF THE CLOSET. UP TO 6 FEET OUT. (6OOW LIGHT COVERS ABOUT 6FT BY 6 FT AREA) SO I WILL HAVE 6 FT BY 6 FT GROW AREA. i will add a couple small secondary ligths as the plant grow taller.
4) I HAVE ENCLOSED WINDOW BUT HAVE A WAY TO USE A FAN TO DRAW THE COOL NIGHT AIR IN THROUGH THE WINDOW. I HAVE FANS FOR ROOM. i CAN OPEN DOOR AND DRAW AIR FROM THE FRONT PART OF THE APARTMENT.
5) i PLAN ON LAYIN GDOWN SOME PLASTIC TO COVER CARPET AND WILL USE 16 5-GALLON BUCKETS
6) I WILL HAND WATER WITH TAP WATER THAT HAS BEEN STANDING FOR 24 HOURS.
7) I will grow from medical marijuana clones.



I HAVE MIRACLE GROW SUpeRSOIL AND i KNOW I WILL NEED TO ADJUST PH. (ideal PH is 6.3 to 6.5) Could someone tell how a lower ph will effect the plants? Right now ph is 5.7.
9) From my outdoor growing experience , i would would water, based on climate and by checking the soil with my finger to determine water needs. But I could use suggestion for indoor water schedule. If things go well maybe in future i wll get a auto water sysytem.
10) I will fert with 20-5-5 during veg stage and 5-20-5 during flowering stage.
11) I need some suggstions on how to transplant these clones into 5 gallon buckets. I think i can just plant them and keep soil moist and use MH light.
12) I think the veg stage 2 should BE 21 days with 18/6? is this accurate??
13) I think the flowerinng stage 3 will be about 90 days? is this accurate? (I think the plant s will be 4 ft to 4 1/2 ft tall? Is this accurate?
14) Heat in room?? since I will be growing in a corner of a bedroom i wll have alot space to accomedate the heat from light and ballast.
150 i have brought in three large fish tanks 250 gallons, Made sure my apartment manager seen them coming in.(picked them up at a garage sale $50.00) changed my rental agreement to "use of water equipment in apt" I told my manager they were tarauims for snakes and lizzards.

So after some more investigation, I think I will use a water cooled lighting system with a air filteration system( for oder and bacteria removal). it is little more moneyat start up, but I think it will be better since I will growing in a apt. It is quiet and I will only need draw air from outside. I won't have to vent out of the room. Also your light can be as close as 10 to 12 inches from plants.


I am also going to use a digital ballast 600w. More effiecent, the ballast is cool to the touch.
also the lumens when the HPS bulb is in is 120,000 lumen. (Well I am not sure which bulb or maybe it is the same for both bulbs) eOne of them will produce 120,000 lumens.

I decided to just put in a air condiition in window. i think it wil be better since I am in a apartment. I dont have to hassle with venting room, way less noise, easier to maintain room temp.

I tested out the bulb but not hooked up to water cooled system. WOW!!! 6000w bulbs puts off incredible amount of heat.

tommorrow I will finally set up the room. the girls will be here tommorrow nite. nine beutiful girls!!!

also i broke down and bought Fox Farm fert and will get rid of the MG soil that I had.
Looking for sugestions on nutes. If not my sales man at Orange County Hydroponics seems very knowledgable. In fact he runs the same set up as Iam setting up, except he is running Hydro and I and I am ruinning soil.
