Hi all RIU users,fukin great site.

This is my first grow(was meant to be just for fun), i started by germinating about 10 seeds,3 of which i kept myself and the rest are in the capable hands of Botanistbob(check his thread out,(secret garden under my house). I have limited space and funds so i am only currently using 2x26 watt cfls for 2 plants,will be upgrading lights shortly,(the 3rd is outside 24/7 au natural). The plants were started on the 10th of sept in shitty soil/potting mix from my backyard and fed with only water up until 2 weeks ago when i started them on MG fullstrength which was a mistake as they displayed some minor nute burn so i will be backing off to 1/2 strength.The 2 indoor plants are under the cfls 24/7 unless its a sunny day outside then they get a good 8hrs of the best MN has to offer (which is risky as ive got a coppa livin nextdoor who could easily see em if he looked hard enuf). One of the 2 indoors has really outdone her sister (nothin wrong wit optimism) not sure y,ive also noticed sum mites and sum kind of whiteflies im guessing due to the bunk soil, any organic pest control suggestions much welcome! Due to space confinements i will be transplanting the larger plant into a bigger house in a few days then ill give her bout a week to establish roots then tip her,then in about 2 more weeks if i have sum stronger lights will attempt to put these girls through puberty hope all goes well. Sorry bout the novel here but ive discovered an unknown passion and could talk bout it all day. Will try and post pics but im a techno retard so bear wit me. Any comments watsoever much appreciated,pics out of order but u get the idea,the slightly yellow 1 is the weaker 1,no pics of the outdoor yet, Hope u enjoy!

Will be addin more pics of the plants at the same stage (taken 2 days ago) tmoro when i find them. Also would love sum proven cost effective soil suggestions for transplanting? i only want to move them 1 more time until harvest.Thanks all

i wish you the best of luck but theres a couple of things you should know.

1. there is no way youre going to hide those plants for the whole grow. if they dont just stumble accross them they are certainly going to smell them

2. you are endangering your parents by growing in their home.

i understand your passion for growing, i love seeing my plants grow, but you have to step back and realise the full consequences of your actions. wait till you have your own place then grow grow grow to your hearts content.

Yeh thanks mammal,1 of them actually know already, i will probly offload them to a friend once i sex them or they become unmanagable for my space. I'm not very well educated in the law of growing in AUS but im sure its not a felony growing 3 plants with a fairly unsophisticated setup, however im not completely naive and will be offloading asap.cheers mamm

Would luv to hear from any/all other cfl growers on wat to expect yield-wise using 1 65watt & 1 26watt onatopped plant(soil grow,basic Miracle grow solution 1/2 strength once a week)

Hey all thought it was about time for an update,

My 2 main plants are goin strong (1 in particular,u'll tell from the pics) they were both transplanted about 8 days ago into sum Amgrow Organix potting mix,the stronger plant was topped 3 days ago due to height restrictions.

I'm only feeding them with normal MG and kinda pH'd water atm, at wat point into flowering should i stop feeding?

Will 1 65watt coolwhite & 1 28watt warmwhite be enough for flowering?
(lights currently 24/7)
Also i have sum kinda insect or acarina/aranea infection,i think they're spider mites as they seem to construct a sort of webbing roof across the leaf margins.They r bright red,they don't seem to be affecting them so far but i figure they gotta be feedin off sumthin,i tried to take a pic of them in 1 of the leaf closeups,help anyone???

Also sum kind of yield estimate would be greatly appreciated!

My main plants is doing well after the transplant so i decided to start flowering her as well as the smaller 1 which is at least half the size.3 days into flower, just a couple questions

1. Will 1 65 watt cool white & 1 26 watt warm white gimme sum nice buds?
2.Can anyone suggest a good flowering nute available in AUS?
3.Minimum time the pre-flowers will show?
4.Should i be seeing sum growth from the topped stem after 1 week?

1. buds? yes. nice buds? prooooooobably not.
2. check out aus ebay, or research organic alternatives. i use canna terra flores.
3. minimum time is about a week, but really youre looking at 2 weeks to be absolutely sure you know what youve got.
4. sum growth? yes. much growth? prooooooooobably not.
