    Default First grow ever (CFL)

I am starting my very first grow, I germinated 1 White Widow feminized seed from cannabisseeds.com and I recently received to what seems to be is a clone from soil in what seems to be bad condition. Can anyone tell me about the clone? I germinated the White Widow seed about 6 days ago. My equipment is as follows:

    • 2 - GE 26 watt 6500K daylight bulbs
    • 1 - GE 20 watt 6500K daylight bulb
    • 2 - GE 13 watt 2700K bulbs (when I need to flower)
    • 2 - plant hydroponic system
    • 1 - aquarium pump and air stone
    • 2 - rockwool cubes
    • 1 - bag of Hydroton pebbles

I need to know if I am on the right track or not as this is my first grow, some guidance would be nice. Today, I transplanted the clone into the rockwool and emptied the reservoir out and dropped 1mL of SuperThrive in the gallon of water and poured it into the reservoir. Hopefully, the SuperThrive will help it grow quicker. I also ordered the Advanced Nutrients Grow-Micro-Bloom trio which should be here next week. I haven't really "watered" it but the water I use is filtered water from my sink that seems to be pH 6.0 exact when I check it. I will be growing under my desk for the time that it takes to vegetate and when it's time to flower or when they get too big, I will move it elsewhere and will move the plants to a bigger tub. As of now I have three of my 6500K daylight bulbs on the clone and White Widow seedling. Also I am leaving the lights on 24/0 until they get big enough to start vegetating and then I will revert to the 18/6 light cycle. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Please let me know if I left out any information, thanks.

ever think about just going with a dirt grow for your 1st ???? Lots of bells and whistles with a hydro set up but you will find with experience that the difference between hydro and a soil based medium grow are very little if any. personally i find hydro grows to be a pain in the ass and the over priced advanced nutes unnecessary. I use sunshine mix#3 and a reasonably priced $10-$15 nute and the end result is as big and as good as any hydro. that said looks like you gotta good start but really think about running a soil based baby and compare when done. it'll save you much $$$$ in the long run.

I have the money for the nutrients and such but I do have to say that it costed a lot more than I had originally thought. It added up quick. I've thought about having a hydro grow and soil so I could compare them but thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate it

Hey man, I'll at least give you a thumbs up for doing hydro even if it's your first grow. DWC is about as simple as soil in my opinion, so you ought to be fine as long as you use good nutrients which I can see you are. (I really like Advanced Nutrients.)

My biggest suggestion would be "more light!" You can never really have too much light. Especially when you go to flowering you'll want a lot more of the 2700K lights. I don't think you'll find a pair 13w bulbs will give you enough output for flowering. The more light, the more bud.
