First time trying to grow since the late seventies

start seeds in an aquarium with my pet snake
- indoor - 6' x 5'
started with ten seeds
lost 6 seeds when I visited BC for a cople days.
now have four plants, two female n two male

400w MH for 18on/6off
DIY hood from clothes hangers n tin foil
first month of vegetation spent outside in back yard
Temp 70°F, no heater just room temp
use heat lamp in the evening
Humidity 18% which I know is bad, can't afford a humidifer
Miracle Grow 8-7-6 nutrients
mist when I'm home every couple hours.

have cut off eight clones for my second grow attempt

Couple more items I missed in the first post.

Only window in room is small and hidden at side of house. I have it plastered with some more cardboard. Duct tapped and stappled. I've checked it at night and it's A OK.

Haven't done much about the floors n walls. Flattened out some cardboard boxes that had a matt black finish. Put the plants on a folding door for a clothes closet that is painted matt white.

Next grow I'll line the walls with that nice wite plastic with reverse side black. Might be a special name for this product but don't know.

Grew up in the lower mainland, finished grade 12 in '71 at Centenial Secondary in Coquitlam. Smoked allot of joints in Sherweed forest across the street from the school. Smoked my first bag of weed in '65 and have pondered the insanity behind pot prohabition, figured out early how fucked up the powers to be are.

The part with the helicopter flying low overhead had me at the edge of my seat. That was intense.

Just moved to Calgary in March, 2008 about 8 months ago.
There's some awesome spots for outdoor grows there in British Columbia. Canada
Get lots of exercise climbing the bush there

daily water n misting plants
plants are in a real chaep planting soil mix
watering I use 4 litres
nutrients are 70 drops of Miracle Grow
75°F for temperature
light cycle is 18/6, 400w MH

just installed a DIY humidifier to try and get humidity up.
humidity for first couple months of grow was only at 16%
DIY humidifier consists of a $10.00 Elite800 aquarium air pump, $2.00 air stone
air stone is in a MJB plastic coffee container filled with water
I haver a heater blowing on the coffee container to help get the moisture in the air

i watched them all. good stuff. it made me laugh, it made me cry, it had it all. i realy felt for him, but something tells me he didn't spend 200k on it. ihave been to Calgary. it was a ong time ago. I would love to go to BC, preferably Whistler during winter, but i bet the summer months are the shit. i spent 12 years growing up and playing in the Colorado Rockies. Damn I miss the mountains.
