well i finally got some pics together of my first hydroponic grow ever. i got the bug to grow and wanted to try hydro out first hand. i didn't know what way to go, and ended up going with a drip system instead of a bubbler system.
rockwool cubes, hydroton, 3 inch net pots, and a 10 gallon res is what i am working with. i started with some 225 bulb led lights just to try them out and see if they work, but i ened up over-watering my plants (constant dripping on the rockwool) and i decided to try a 2 foot fluorescents over them instead. i stuck with the fluoros and watched the plants start to really grow after the rockwool dried out and the roots started to get huge.
after having to wait way to long for a sweet 2'8 x 2'8 x 5'3 grow tent i finally got it set up. then i hooked up a 4 inch inline fan and carbon scrubber today to deal with the smell, humidity and temps. i also got my 250w hps light hung and fired up. out with the fluoro and almost ready for tomorrows 12/12 cycle to begin.
i just got my c.a.p. C02, humidity and temp controller and plan on hookin it up tomorrow and then its strict 12/12 to pick out the girls and get rid of the males!
well its been a learning experience so far and i think i just about have everything dialed in and i think the grow should be pretty good considering my cramped quarters... i will keep you posted and hear are some pics that i took along the way...
