they ended up spouting and i gave it to my mate to do an outdoor.
so that was a no go to me with my stealth indoor setup.

i have joined RIU for about 5 days now and everytime im on here, i gain more knowledge and there shouldent be a reason why i should give this a shot.

this is my first ever grow and setup, i have heard everything gotten so much knowledge and this is what i have to offer.
i know yous might think 'wtf' @ my setup, but im giving this a shot and i cant wait.

this is my setup, i can not do more and this is all i have to play around with. hmm, whats his setup?

1 foot wide, 3 foot 10 inches long and 2 foot 8 inches high
im so use to reading foot and inches that i forgot what im use to (centermeters and meters)

gathering up info spending many hours on rollitup.org, i couldent stop myself to go out shopping and get the tools needed for the grow.

for your information, im no rich guy that has alot to spend on this setup, im just a 19 year old kid.

i went out to the hydrostore and got myself:

1xsmall rockwoll
1x of the next sized up rockwool
1xscoop of pellets, damn, im so blazed i forgot what there called, sorry
costed $3.50aus

went to the local hardware store and got myself:
2x24w cfl's (natural white)
costed like $20.70

so yas are all prolly wondering if its possible to even grow this thing with what i spend.
a good friend of mine, who has might i say, 'acceptable knowledge' with this area, has helped me and also gathered some items that i might need in the future, so might i say, im lucky, in a way.
he has provided:
a timer (so ive been told this timer can control all my lighting and fan)
black plastic sheeting
temp thermometer
trays for the pallet that fit perfectly in my box
ph tester
some sort of bud bloomer
some sort of root growth enhancer
that coughing syrup plunger? =S

what i need:
a small fan later for flowering
myla sheeting (sp)
prolly 1 more 18/20w clf
another lamp/batton holder w/ switch

thats what i can think of atm, ill keep yas posted, if yas want.
ill germinate 3 seeds tomorrow and start the setup tomorrow aswell

this is what i have to deal with, please, put yourself in my situation, or not. i wanna go through with this.
also, i wanna get feedback, and show its possible to do a stealth grow, even if you're dealing with a small amount of space.
oh ps: what i plan to do is veg under 18/6 for 3-4 weeks, then switch to 12/12 for another 3-4 weeks.

PS!!!: im buying new lights for flowering, not the natural white one, the one with a tinge, still thinking how many watts though ... 18? 20? 24?

you are going to get 3 opinions on lights and nobody will agree. either hid, flourescent/cfl or led's. imo, your best option in your situation is cfl's. you want to shoot for 75 total actual watts per square ft of growing area.

the 2x24w cfl is equivalent to 220watts, i've heard its more than enough, worse comes the worse, ill push another

man....if you want to spend 3 to 4 months(its time consuming) to grow a couple dubs of fluff....go ahead....you can play blind man and wallk wit the shepard but my eyes are wide open.....seriously......seedling stage(first three weeks) might work with two cfls....but once they have 4-5 nodes.....your gonna need more light....or else your plant will take 3x as long to grow(7 months)...and will probly be fluff.....

i think you've misunderstood the guidelines for light. the cfl guidelines are always quoted in ACTUAL wattage, not equivalent. your lights will produce bud but you will count the output in grams not ounces.

hps bulb 400w= 22000-40000 lumens .... 2 24w cfl= 2500-3000 lumens.....sunlight= 100000 lumens.......my advice....priceless...
