Hi all, I am just starting a new grow of Barneys Farm-Violator Kush and will be doing a Journal from start to finish. I have purchased 5 feminized seeds and will be growing them Organically.

My setup is as follows..

Grow room: 2000x1250x550mm

Lights: 125watt CFL Grow with Powerplant Reflector (Vegetative stage).
400 watt Grolux with AdjustaWing Reflector (Bloom Stage)

Ventilation: Intake: Ruck 125mm High Power 365m3
Exhaust: Ruck 150mm High Power 725m3
Primair Fan Speed and Thermostat combo

Grow System: Autopot 3 pot kit.

Media: Root Riot Starter Cubes, Plagron Batmix

Nutrients: Bio Bizz-Bio Bloom, Bio Biz-Top Max, Bio Biz-Bio Heaven

As you can see I am using Perlite around the Root Riot cubes to keep the moisture in and stops the cubes from drying out completely. I have a 100% success rate with seeds and cuttngs using this method!

I will check back every day to keep you updated as to what is happening! I wont be putting pics up everyday but as often as I can. I will explain in more detail what I am doing as these steps take place. Any Questions please fire away!

Forgot to mention... The seeds were incubated in an Ice Cream tub with kitchen towel and PH 5.5 tap water. After the seeds had cracked they were placed in the propagator with the lights turned off until they surfaced. As soon as they surfaced the lights went on for 18hrs a day. I have the lid on the propagator as I want a high humidity until they have established a good root zone. The Intake fan is on blowing cold air around the growroom, this helps the propagator not to dry out as quick!

The root Riot cubes seem to have done exactly what it states on the packet, they say that these cubes will root up to 2 days before other conventional cubes, and after 24 hours they have rooted very well indeed!








I am using Plagron Batmix for my Soil Mix as I find it brilliant for the Vegetative stage, I add no further nutrients to the soil at this stage, I let the Bat Guano do the growing. I pot up the seedlings into the Batmix, the pots were watered 24 hours earlier so to activate the friendly bacteria in the soil this gives the seedlings the start they need straight from the off.







The seedlings will now go under the 125 watt CFL for an 18/6 light cycle. When they are root bound in the pots, I will then move them over to the Autopots for their final move before harvest. Please feel free to ask any questions and give some advice, all is welcome!! More updates tomorrow!!

Its the end of day 3 and I am now switching on the ventilation and placing my humidifier into the grow room





I will be keeping the room between 60-70% RH right throughout the Vegetative stage and lowering it to around 40-50% RH in the Bloom cycle





The temps around the seedlings are 28 Celsius and lower to 26 Celsius with the lights off which I am happy with. The pots are still fairly heavy with water so I will keep a check on the weight. Until Tomorrow
