Im new to the site and growing, WANT OPINIONS AND COMMENTS

I posted this in my grow journal and it should be posted here. I just created my account today because I figure what better way to get information then from the people that do it every day.

I am in my transition phase (ending tonight about midnight) they've been in complete darkness for 36 hrs along with there flush. For some background information I'm running 5gal buckets in DWC under 2 6 bulb T5's. During growing I had the bulbs every other spectrum (red and blue) and changed them all to red for flowering. I used FloraNova Grow for my first 6-8 weeks.

Also on another journal I am going to begin I have a setup much like the AeroFlo 60 units except I made it to only have 40. I am in the process of getting the clones ready So that will be a start to finish journal rather than just the flowering phase. I am not making these journals and updates to try and boast or brag about my plants I JUST NEED MORE KNOWLEDGE. I want you opinions and comments and everything I can so that I may craft my plants into something I can be proud of. This is a first post to get something going. I'm about to go take some pictures and draw a outline of the setup I have along with the other things I have set up as well.

A quick 2 questions if anyone knows the answer to. Is it true that a green light bulb will not affect the plants during flowering? I heard this somewhere and was wondering if there was any validity to it. They have green light bulbs at my local dollar store and I wanted to confirm with someone before I set it up in my room. Also I just bought my nutes for my blooming today. Went with Green Planet : Hydrofuel Bloei A+B, Pro-Cal, Massive, Finisher, and Liquid W-8. I will be following their 8 week flowering chart to the T. Looking for some feedbacks or thoughts.

If you're talking about using a green bulb from the dollar store to be able to enter the room when the lights are off, i really don't think that a green bulb from the dollar store is going to do it, as the glass is just going to be painted green or be green glass. It's not really going to effect the spectrum of the light, just give it a green tinge. I wouldn't trust a dollar store bulb to my flowering plants.

I completely agree what I was trying to get out of that is what type of bulb do I need to do this successfully then? Is there green grow bulbs specifically designed for this?? Couple more hours and I can take a beast load of pictures.

Nice pics Basementboy but pictures of your babies turn out better if you take them with the lights off rather then on. None the less great job mate.

Lol, i know veritas i just done wanna mess with the damn digital timer. Sometimes i turn the cfls off. Right now tho theres no buds so its really just the plant there so it gets the job done. Plus these are from my broke as cell phone so ill be sure to get out the HD camera when there getting nicer.

Psilly if you get a chance check out myj journal and see the light I have in there, I hope that one is fine cause thats the one ive been using :/
