hi there everyone. i figured it had been a while since i took on a new thread and my old ones are ......well, just that. old. i've been doing a lot of experimenting and losing shitloads of money for it. and i have decided to go with the aero/nft system. after only 6 weeks of flowering i am blown away. not by the bud production ......yet. but by the growth rate. it's amazingly unbelievable. but i am a convert. all other methods other than maybe a dwc set up or anything combined with aero just will not keep up with this growing style..........but i digress. i wanted to take you guys through it with me. but not like a journal. feel free to ask about stuff and criticise about stuff.

this last one is my dryer that i'm proud of.

but these are all about a week ago at 5weeks and 2 days i think. you can see they were getting thick and tall. but now it was getting stupid so i had to take action.







this is what they looked like a few hours ago. and you may or may not be able to see the bud hairs n stuff startin up. f'n 6 weeks!!!! takin its sweet ass time. its white widow by the way.











and here are some shots of the pvc fence posts i got at the big orange store. and they are 4 3/4'' wide and 105'' long and better than 1/4'' thick. 40 bucks a piece. and can hold 12 plants per run. i lil root porn (snuff anyway) for you freaks out there.




my shitty moms are in need of a 250w mh instead of these weak ass cfl's.

i took some of the cuttings from the bigguns in the new system, justfor fun.




so an upskirt shot and a few more angles after the carnage. i just did this a couple weeks ago.

i run a timer 2 minutes on 12 minutes off for both this system and the cloner and when i replace the tables i still have with this i will plug that into the timer as well. i timer and i get a cloner and 2 other flowering stations. well, technically 4. i will only put 12 in each batch so i can use 1 run every 3 weeks to harvest. that will give me 3 weeks to clone and veg a bit and then they feed into the rotation every 3 weeks until full. viola. harvest every 3 weeks but only 1 tube of 12 plants. as i get it finished you'll see it grow/go along and it should be fun. i do however in the future have the capability of adding a third system in this room. but we'll see what 12 under perfect conditions consistently yields for a while. then make the decision. i use gh products. the regular bloom micro and gro formula. r/o water. and havent needed ph up or down in a long time. but i think this new system is gonna need some down every so often. as far as additives. flouralicous plus and kool bloom. but i am thinking about getting kabloom instead.someone told me to try it.. i dont flush nor am i going to start. so no thank you in advance. i know stink does and so does a lot of follks but i only flush the potty. and even then, rarely. and my bud dryer spits out ready to smoke slow burning sweet smelling tastey buds that i always get complimented on how good i cured it by my old hippie friends and family. then when i actually get them some i have cured they think it's a different strain. so , for those who arent keeping up or hust tuning in....bugs flushes sometimes and believes in the cure! but for me good friends patients and personal. not everything. oh ya....i run 2 1k lights now but they are coming down soon and 4 600w hps are going up instead. even with the light movers the 1k's just cant hit everywhere. so the 4 6's will do nicely. september 3rd will be 9 weeks in the aer/nft. if it finishes and i doubt it will. then i can have 3 systems in the room. 3,6,9!!!! but if it goes longer then i will only be able to have 2 systems and harvest 1 run of 12 each time. the 4th run will be 3,,6,9,........10,11 or 12. so we'll all see together. so far my only problem is white flies.
anyway i'mma post this so i dont lose it all and shoot myself. then i'll read it and post something to make sense of it all. lol

you know the only thing bothering me is the fact that 4 weeks is plenty of time for buds to start popping up all over in my tubs. but this aero/nft is sprouting hairs at 6 weeks plus!!! wtf? i hope the flowering process is as violently productive as the vegging has been.

no remidies for white flies, maybe some sticky traps, Safer soap 3-1 works good. What size are those inserts and how big was the whole you drilled for them? oh and I'm curious, at what week do you start flushing? LOL JJ

hey bugs, nice setup, nothing beats aero, but onto the pests, you need to do a lil research on where they lay larva, you can kill adults but the they will come back in a week, well atleast thrips do that, a multi-pronged attack will help, i highly recommend fox farms "dont bug me" after an application or two of that, go down to a nursery and order lady bugs, hired or predator bugs work very well, some go after the larva, also blue and yellow sticky cards, best way to combat this is by prevention, also rotenone pyrethrins is very hardcore but good as a spray for in and around your room, it claims to be safe for edibles but when you smell it you wouldnt dare put it on your plants, i use it to spray before a new crop. IMO safer soap is too weak and neem oil works pretty well, but like i said dont bug me and the lady bugs work the best that i have tried, and i tried em all

thanks for the replies guys. very helpfull. i do have neem oil but have never used it properly. i have only put it in water/dawn mixtures for spray bottles and then i sprayed the top of the plants. cause i'm super smart. so a lot of half assed attempts to kill em' but i just want something to kill em all easily. fuck the quality of the crop smoke for 1 run. it'll be worth it to get rid of the damned things.

remember how i said i was blown away by the growth rate? well now it makes me sad angry and poor. they are week 6 day 4 and still just sights and hairs but no buds. it's like it wont stop vegging. and i cant turn the pump off at night or the roots would dry out. my pots turn at 3-4 weeks into 12/12 but this shit is big and pretty but wont let em fuckin bud out!!!!!

all they need is a "token" spray once every hour to hour and a half at night, this just might be jamming the plants with highly oxygenated nutrients when they might be getting mixed signals, i dont know maybe you got long flowering sativas?
