this is my first indoor grow with hydro ponics .. i odered 10 seed from nirvanashop.com and got them in 10 days useing a cc. im so happy they came and made it to the U.S. nice and stealthy.. well i spent about $120 on this system .. i have a 2 ft x2ft x2ft / 5-10 gallon resv. EBB and Flow hydro setup.. i have 4 /26 watt cfls . for nutes im using G.H. florogrow/floromicro/floroblom and G.H. ph kit up/down . i germ and planted 6 (Jock Horror) seeds .. its been a week now from when i gothe seed in the mail. 4 out of the 6 spourted one of them has purple on top of leaves.. any one know why there purple? also i was woundering how close should i place the light from the plants??? if any on has pointer on growing jock horror plz post /comment


p.s. im using 4/26 watt daylight 6500k bluse spec. cfl lights will be upgrading ASAP

heres some more pices. its been a week and 4 days sents i throw them in water to germ .. and i have a few questions .. first i was woundering why the plant in pic 1 has 6 leaves that pruple along the tips ? 2nd can any one tell me why two plants grew fast/tall/skinny and two grew short/thicker.???.. and two has not sprouted ..i decided to germ 1 more jock seed incase those two dont sprout up.

maybe invest in a ph meter, IMO the colour chart is inaccurate, it measured crazy readings when i was using it, but then i got a ph meter and it works brilliant, you can get them for $20 dollas off the net

thx for the quick post wildyking . yes i do need a ph meter.. as for the purple leave could be from the stain of weed, becaous they are gone now . only when the new leave are sprouting up they are perp. as they get bigger they turn green... does any one know or can give me an estament of how many female will i get out of 6 jock horror plants??? also how many plants can i grow with good yiald under a 250 hps/md light 2x4x5 ??1/2 closet ???

can any one help me plz... im getting some rust/ brown looking spots on my plant leaves .. I checked my ph when this shit started happening an i was a 5.0 ... so i flushed for 1 1/2 days with ph 5.8, but the brow/rust spot are still there and the leavse that the brown is on are drying/dieing ... I then put nuts back in the water {normal amout} .. i need any info about what i did wrong and how do i fix.this is my first hydro grow/indoor grow. any info will be a great help...

I've got some jock horror and have had 100% germ success. Never seen any purple on the plants. I got 7 females out of 10 total. I've also experienced the some tall some short with this strain but i've cloned the taller ones. The discoloration in your leaves could be a def in cal, mag or iron. What nutrients r u using? You might need to use some type of support nutrient. I use the technaflora line of nutrients, with them that would be 'magical' [name of nutrient that adds cal, mag and iron.] Never done ebb and flow but I grow mine dwc style. I'm about to try the aeroponic setup by stinkbud. With a 250 watt hps if you were a great grower and knew your strain well 1 gram per watt is like what you should be getting. I'd say though maybe half that? All depends. If you got 250g though that would be sick. ;] Good Luck Happy Growing.

p.s. don't veg too long unless you want very tall plants. These things and double and triple in height during flowering.

thanks for the post .. im useing gh nutes 3 part floro series ... my ph was at around 5.0 .. when i checked .. could it be a def in cal, mag or iron.. if so how do i fix this ist very bad and it wont go away. i used epsom salt for 2 days whith ph 5.8 ro water . then i mix lacus formula 1/2 strieath.. will i fix or kill my plants... NEED HELP QUICK PLZ!!!
