Just thought I would see what the preferred method of the Texas grower is. Me personally I run a top drip dwc combo.
I'm using the RO potting soil. That's closer to hydro than soil though. My PH runs way low, showing a little red even, but my MK takes it all in stride. A little epsom salts for mag.
I use a General Hydroponics farm series top drip bucket and I put 2 air stones in the bucket...I also use a self made bubbleponics under a 400watt HPS light and lots of fans that shit gets hott. Smoke One!
This guy here is using 2 ebb and flow setups. One 2x2 tray and one odd sized one from lowes. Got a dual reservoir setup for both that holds about 20 gallons for each tray. Also doing a couple soil pots. Using canna bio soil which is amazing. I recommend canna for nutes as well. But that canna soil has enough nutes in it for about a month and you can add nutes to it from the start if you want and it deigned for your plants to take what your adding Nd leave what came in the soil.
I'm about to go with dwc on the next run though. How do you like it niko? Also does doing the undercurrent setup help that much?
DWC with genral hydro nute, a 450 cfm fan, homemade filter, 2 sensi kush plants with a grapfruit in the middle. All on LEDS in a wardrobe
Whats up Tx ppl, just joining.I myself do all Organic with FFOF Soil, and just got a GH DWC with a coco lid anybody know about these?First time mixing Coco and Hydrotron never used em together seems odd?Glad to see some DWC ppl in here.
I'm using ebb&flow 2x4 ft tables. I've been using General Hydroponics brand products for like 20 years but I'm thinking of switching to Advanced soon.
Im new here aswell. Im using ffof soil in 3 gallon smart pots,430 watt hps in a 4x8x7 cab. Im ready to switch it up though. I like the soil but i started using soil when i first started growing two years ago. I originaly thought it was going to be easier to use than ebb n flow or dwc, but latly i have been thinking that it isnt. Soil problems take so long to correct and a ton of trial and error to get the feedings right. Now that might of been a learning curve for me due to the fact i never had a teacher. It seems that dwc or ebb n flow might be easier to controle than soil. Does anyone else agree with this?
