The set up Im planing to build is a 4x2x5 mylar lined grow hut 4oow swichable ballast,hood and bulbs 4" fan and carbon filter combo 6" Duct fan for fresh air intake or passive intake? I was hopeing to do 4 plants in two bins side by side but after reading & reading & reading I feel like I might be better off with two plants.
with that much light and ventilation in that little space, u should have as many plants as you can fit in there. at least 4. as long as you can keep temps under 90 in there u'll be golden. have that carbon filter scrubbing your out going air and pass it thru the light, then out the tent. and have that 6" bringing in air only if your temps are too high, air will find its way in there naturaly. you want more air being takin out than coming in.
and in these tents, make sure you clean the floor often, one or twice a week to prevent any type of mold, mildew, and bacteria forming from water draining from the pots. keep em in seprate containers so you can rotate them often for optimum light coverage. with good ventilation, strong light, good soil and the right strains, having your plants 3-4 feet tall, you will yeild about a half oz or more a plant. then you can make, hash oil and butter with the leftovers. and if you can, find a tent thats 5 feet in width, that extra foot will mean the world so shits not so crowded, will help with circulation and heat from the light.
4 foot tall plants should harvest much more than half an ounce no?
personally i wouldnt grow them up 4' under a 400w...that light wont penetrate the canopy low enough...i got just under 6oz on 2 - 18" plants under a 400w in around your size tent and probly had room for 6 total...i dont go past 2' even with my 1k light. the plants i grow outside that get 4' i see @least 8oz each.
What up guys, Thanks for all the info and tips. Iv got a tent, 48" x 24" x 60".....carbon scrubber w/fan, cool tube 400w hps, and 2 6"inline duct fans IN THE MAIL! I'm pretty Damn excited about getting my grow out of plain sight!! Got sick of having to hide a whole bedroom. Right now I'm vegging 2 purplekush and 1 nirvana ww under 400 true Cfl watts. THey sit in foxfarm oceanforest and I use the foxfarm trio. I'll post pics when its all set up, keep 'em green guys!
