Jones: Henderson 'a one trick pony'
I believe Jones will win, but I hope to see him get rocked by at least 1 good H-Bomb !!
There u are Gyro......thought I was flying solo cause 2/3 of the 3 amigo's hadn't been on in a while!
Hendo: One trick pony? It's a pretty good trickIn a recent UFC 151 promo video, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones expressed characteristic confidence about his fight vs. Dan Henderson. “It’s no secret that Dan Henderson is a little bit of a one-trick pony,” Jones said of Henderson's fabled right hand. “My objective is to not get hit at all. It will be interesting to see how I handle one of those famous H-Bombs. I feel very confident I can be the first guy to TKO him.”
Henderson appeared on this week's episode of FUEL TV's UFC Tonight, and seemed pretty interested too in how Jones would handle the H-Bomb.
“It must be a pretty good trick,” said Henderson. “It’s kept me in the sport this long and people keep wanting to see it. It’s kept me around for a long time... TKO me? I’d love for him to try. That means he’s coming after me and I won’t have to chase him"
Hey Doowmd, I am still around. I have been pretty busy lately, but I am still subbed here.
The way I see the Hendo fight is this. He could not beat Anderson Silva. I think that Jones has the same tools as Silva at a heavier weight, maybe more. I believe Jones will win, but I hope he gets rocked at least once, lol.
yea thats the way I pretty much see it too gyro.......He couldnt beat Silva so he probably wont be able to beat a younger version of Silva w/ better wrestling/take down defense.
Couture leaning towards Henderson over Jones “I like the fight for Dan,” said Couture in an interview with The MMA Show."Obviously Jones is a tall order with a 96-inch reach [actually 84.5] and as athletic and dynamic of an athlete that he is, but I think Dan has two things going for him. One is that right hand, but two, at the end of the day it’s going to be that wrestling mentality — closing the distance, wading through Jon, taking him out of that long-range dynamic striking reach he likes and forcing him to wrestle,” he explained. “Dan was a two-time Olympic wrestler, and I think if he makes Jones wrestle and does it for five rounds he has a real good chance of winning that fight. (Plus) you may see an ‘H-bomb’ hit Jon Jones in the head at anytime with Danny, so I really like that fight for him.”http://www.fighters.com/08/17/randy-couture-leaning-towards-dan-henderson-in-ufc-151-title-fight
in case any of u missed it, hendo's hurt and ufc 151's been canceled. Lyoto Machida was originally reported to be the one to step in to fight Jones at UFC 152 on Sept. 22 but now it's being reported that Machida has turned down the fight because of the short notice and Vitor Belfort will now step in to fight Jones on that card:
by Ariel Helwani | source: mmafighting.comJon Jones will not be facing Lyoto Machida at UFC 152 after all.
Instead, Vitor Belfort will fight Jones for the UFC light heavyweight title on Sept. 22 in Toronto. UFC president Dana White confirmed the change with MMAFighting.com late Thursday night.
According to White, Machida turned down the title shot on Thursday. Belfort volunteered to fight Jones on one month's notice and was granted the title shot by the promotion

boooo jones is a bitch
You TOTALLY left out the saga of the Media call Fuck Helwani. little instegator he is. Dana Held a Media call and completely trashed Jackson as being " a Fuckin weirdo, bed for the sport" and "a fucking sport killer". He also said that UFC called every LHW fighter available and all refused to fight Jones on 8 days notice.. all EXCEPT Chael Sonnen, who stepped right up and said He would "Fly out tonight and fight him anywhere you like".
