I have a 70w mh floodlight I just recently bought. I have the mh set to the side at an angle because directly over the top I have 2 48in fluorescents. On both side I have a 100w cfl. Should I relocate the mh or leave it where it is? I have to rotate my plants so they wont grow sideways towards the mh so bad. I have two plants in the 8th week from seed. Do I have enough light or what? They seem to be growing great but just recently did they start to grow good. Each plant is about 14-18 inches. Does that seem kinda small for an 8 week old plant? They came from bagseeds so I am so far pleased with the outcome. Hopefully they will be female.
hey hows it going. just wanted to respond to ur questions. Without looking at pics and just going off of what you say, the plants seem to be doing awesome. They seem right on track and in my opinion, You have all of you different angles covered with the different types of lights and different types of light spectrums. They probably hit a growth spurt right around week 4 right? they are most likely right on track. Hopefully you have a good number of females and can get a good garden going.Are you taking cutting off any of them to sex them or how are you sexing? Are you gonna clone the identified females?Good luck with ur grow and anything else i would gladly help. one more thing. Is you MH in a hood and some type of light?just wondering. Got Pics?
Well, im hoping to get some pics up by this afternoon. I have to get my camera back from a buddy. Anyways, your right about the growth spurt. I think it was around week 5. Im hoping to have some good females but at this stage, im not sure how to sex them until they get to the harvest time. I topped a couple of them but the others I am going to leave alone. Experamental purposes you know? But I am going to clone as soon as I find out the sex. I have not taken cuttings yet but plan on doing so soon. Im not real sure about the cuttings and cloning because I have never done it before. I am still kinda new at this. Well, lets just say that everytime I grew, I just let them go the way they went. I didnt do any pruning or anything. Yeah, I didnt know if having different kinds of lights at one time were good or not. I basically had to use what I could afford at the time. Im hoping to get a hps this weekend. That should get me right on track.
yeah. get the hps and you will be golden. The cloning deal is very easy. I was the exact same way up until about 4 months ago until i had a buddy show me how to take cuttings and get clones. Anything you need to know, dont be afraid to ask me. cloning is the best thing ever invented. Just think no more seeds(unless you want new strains) and its half the time to veg a clone. So from cutting ur clone to smoking in bowl/joint/bong or whatever, its about 12 to 16 weeks for me. Now that may vary but only if you want it to. And oh yeah it literally so simple, in my opinion,being serious, a 12 year old could do it. Do you know the basics of taking cuttings and cloning?Or do you kinda need everything? Either way is cool. Yeah, I know the basics to the cloning and cuttings but I never did it before. Its just one of those things that I would like to brush up on before doing it. When it comes time for it I will def hit you up.
