hey guys ,coming up to the end of my first grow, having varied results to say the least, had a mixture of 7 strains under a 300w 6700k so far into my growing adventure i've learnt that with autoflowering plants best stay away from cfl. 5 and 10g off two Mi5's is not an acceptable yield, my afghan kush failed to auto then sadly passed away and that was my auto experience. Also lost my diesel ak47 cross to spider mites. despite some stunting due to fungus gnats my white siberian is doing well now at about a foot tall with shortish nodes everywhere. i got a Jack Herer cutting from a "man from the hills" and early on in my grow a mirror was sadly unsecured and fell snapping jacks main stem just above 1 tiny branch with 1 tiny leaf. from that 1 tiny branch and 1 tiny leaf, 3 thick new main stalks grew in amazing time and despite it still being early in its flowering stage it has frosted up beautifully and i can expect a decent return....
.....onto the star performers i have moby dick closest next to harvesting, i reckon it is only my inexperience in moulding and shaping the plants themselves thats letting me down in terms of yield as its just thick with bud and glistening like sunshine on snow, the other plant i feel i'm letting down again, the inlaws are coming to stay later in the month and we had a couple month notice so i put the room prematurely into 12/12 (hence the disappointing results from my autos, but i was never getting much off them anyway) so after six weeks on 12/12 my northern lights and big bud cross has done nothing but bush out and out and show sex, its like it just wants to grow more and more before growing any bud, i expect the biggest yield to come from this one are there any strains anyone else has noticed do well under CFL ?
from what I've seen. Skunk #1 and Bubblegum do pretty good. My brother uses T5's and usually gets 2-3oz of dry medicine.
@VanishingToaster, how many lights did you have all those strains under...your post says "a mixture of 7 strains under a 300w 6700k"...surely you didn't mean one single 300watter, right?
Wooow.... Sounds like you had a bad first grow... Ya and just wat blue said i hope that wasnt just 1 300w cause i run a 3:1 Ratio on the Cfl's.... Good luck
