first time grower and probably jumped the gun a bit and went straight for autofem as they sounded like a god send to people like me due to their general speed and size. i didnt read enough into it and after just a couple of different quotes of how epic theses thing were i bought a load: sweet tooth, auto ak, easy rider, low ryder #2, auto maria 2 and pineapple express all auto. my problem is that i cant grow inside and not in my garden therefore having to go rural, so you see why they seemed so practical at first! can i expect to get a yield off these things outside or should i just go for the fabricated greenhouse in the sticks? or should i just pass them on and get myself some normal seeds?
    any ideas appreciated guys

if ur growing ina good sunny spot u can expec to get a decent yield of sum autoflowers, il tell u right now u wont get 5lbs per plant or anything, with autos its reasonable to expect atleast a ounce yield of each auto, remeber auto's dont have time to veg and they flower quickly, if ur starting ur auto's now and can also grow a few regular plants i would, that way ul be able to harvest the autos half way thru the season and still have a harvest comin in october, for best results on the auto's u want to give the roots the best enviroment to grow in, if ur soil is really hard and full of clay u could dig ur holes 3ft deep by 3ft wide and fill it up half way with sum soil amending compost and the rest of the way with good bagged soil, the compost would break the clay up and make it easier for the roots once they reach down there, thas the trick with auto alot of growers will tell u, make sure the roots got plenty of room

personally if u can afford it i would go get sum 5gal smart pots for ur auto's they wont need anything bigger, mix a bag of happy frog potting soil with fox farm ocean forest, make sure to cut that mix with sum extra perlite, i like to cut all my soil mixes with perlite at a ratio of 1/3 perlite to 2/3 soil mix, for food i would go with the happy frog japanese male 4-8-5 and mix 1tsp per gal of soil mix before planting, make sure the top few inches of soil are just happy frog potting soil so the seeds can get use to the mix as they grow

with this mix ul only have to add filtered water and sum un-sulphured molasses during flower i say filtered water cause this is a all organic mix and tap or city water has chlorine in it, chlorine is a bacteriacide and will kill of the benifical microlife in ur soil, so if u wanna give this mix a try i would either let ur water sit for atleast 24hrs to let the chlorine dissapate (then bubble it with a air pump and air stone to add oxygen, roots live on oxygen and so does the microlife) before u water ur plants, tap water also has alot of calcium and magnesuim and other elements that can build up salts in ur root zone so if u have to jus let ur tap water sit for 24hrs still buy sum distelled or filtered water to flush with once or twice before harvest to remove the salts from root zone, but ya its a good mix and should feed ur plants all the way to harvest

filtered water and un-sulphured molasses is all ul need after u get the soil mix set up, i would go with the 5gal smart pots too i wouldnt go any smaller i have seen a few pics on here from a guy who grew sum afghan kush ryders in sum 5gals and was gettin around 4oz per plant, that yield also had to do with the strain certain auto's will yield more than others just like with regular strains, but point is he told me his yield really suffered until he started using the 5gals and the roots had enough room to grow in, anyway hope u have a fun season, and hell ya try to those auto's out but if u can definitly still get a couple clones or regular seeds for outside too
