Obamacare Enrollment Estimates Less Than 50,000

I guess the 50,000 estimate is fairly accurate.

The Fiscal Times:

However, "selecting" a plan and actually buying it are different things – much like adding an item to your shopping cart on Amazon.com is different from actually buying it.

We know that 106,000 Americans have put specific plans in their carts-- just 27,000 of those were on the federal exchange. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the administration would provide more details on Dec. 15 about how many people have actually paid for a policy.
The numbers will probably swell to 100,000 after Jan 1, when MILLIONS of people with EMPLOYER provided plans are cancelled.

I can almost hear the shrill wails of the administration and their properly coached minions in the MSM now. Kabuki theatre at it's finest. (lol, whilst spellchecking, I find a Slate article saying Rush used the same term in the same context)

Again, in theory.

Let's try to think about unintended consequences again. A chronically sick patient would hurt a doctor's metrics so the incentive would be to drop those "problem" patients. Elderly and disabled need not apply.

The metrics based pay sounds good in theory but the incentives it creates are perverse. It's a typical first level thinking policy.

Yep, that is a very tricky policy. Plenty of unethical people, especially doctors, that would not properly treat someone to keep them from adding up specialty visits. Once again the idea is good just they always forget to factor in human nature.

I feel bad for your experiences to think doctors operate this way. Sure there's bad apples in every bunch but my experience is "first, do no harm" is more than just words. I see the possibility of not taking patients who will effect those metrics but cutting off a foot because it pays more was just like most Obama words off teleprompter, bs.

It will fun watching everyone who claims how great the ACA is starts changing their tunes when Hillary runs on fixing it. It will be Syria all over again.

I believe Hillary backing Obama on Syria is going to be a bigger problem for her than a lot of people think, and then there is Benghazi.

This one gets played in the primaries by her Dem competition then goes full bore in the general if she survives. We love our sound bites.

Resigning as Sec of State was the only way to avoid criminal prosecution for Hillary over Benghazi. Yep, that's a fine trait for a Presidential candidate, isn't it?

Hillary is going to give Syria a universal healthcare plan?
Is that not what you said in post #185? You should write better.
lol!

This would be awesome if you did it on purpose. Can I pretend you did? it works in your favor..

Oh wow, I mean... I just... oh well... thanks?

Right now I'm pretending you look like Corky.
I thought you would be pretending that I said McCarthyism was before FDR and the New Deal, or that I said I supported stimulus (keynesian economics or any form of capitalism). Why would you get so mad if I misread your comment? You seem to think it is perfectly acceptable.

You are confusing mad with entertained, but then, confusing meanings of posts is kinda your thing isn't it.

My gosh, you didn't get the news? Employer mandate was postpone by Exec Order until 2015.

The plans are not a risk. Mine stayed exactly the same.

I'm not a liberal. Liberal is pro-capitalist center-right wing ideology. Conservative is right wing extremist. I know you think that there can only be liberals and conservatives, but I am neither. I am left-wing. I am libertarian socialist (anarchist).
I will disagree. Right-wing extremists can be found in some Mid-eastern states with either monarchies or oligarchies pursuing a totalitarian caesaropapism. I agree that today's Republican Party is right of center, but not far right since it doesn't espouse totalitarianism or even authoritarianism. I dismiss the dominionist splinter as ultimately inconsequential.
I see more authoritarian sentiment coming from today's Democratic Party, and they have gone well left of center with their emphasis on collectivism and Government control of more and more of private life.
The center belongs inter alios to the libertarians (not capitalized). They currently do not have an influential party representing them. The Libertarians fail to serve this need because their vision of utopia (witness Spooner), while not like the Communist extremum, is still an extremum inconsistent with human history and nature.

Woops. Less protection now than before. You cannot prosecute SecState, monkey. Presidential pardon negates it.

And as Ford proved, he could pre-pardon Nixon. So, the VP can pardon the resigned President, before he is charged.

WAKE THE FUCK UP!
