**When Was The Last Time You Found Free Money?**

This is wrong, but I get a spring water delivery once a month..and feed my girls, dogs and me with it..I can get anywhere from 5x5 gal up to 15 per month depending on where I am in flower..I happened to notice that the grocery store carries the same bottles..inquiring, I was told that these bottles were 12.99$, as 6.00$ is deposit..now I'm a full-time student and loans only go so far..so now I take the returns back and get cash, sometimes I'll pick-up 1 bottle just to make it look good and I return to different stores..in essence, I'm paying basically 0$ for the water:wink:..

Would you consider this too ghetto?

I'd consider it a waste of money unless your water from the tap is total crap? your paying 13$ for a 5gal container with a 6$ dep so it's 7$ per 5 gal in the end.. 15x per mo x 7$ per 5 gal is 105$ per mo max x 12 mo's $1260 per year with a 15 gal max use..

I think I am reading your post wrong now??

Are you getting a free delivery of water then returning the empties for cash?

So the delivery company doesn't charge for the bottles or require a deposit? Why would the store require $6 deposit on something that is given away for less than that?

You already paid the delivery company for the bottles. $12.99= $6 deposit + $6.99 water.

If they can get the bottles, fill them with water, and deliver them to you all for the price of deposit at the grocery store then me thinks the grocery store is being dicks and overcharging for deposit. Probably hoping a lot of those $6 deposits end up not being returned and turn into pure profit for the grocer. I say fuck em.

I only pay 6$ per bottle my last bill for 5 bottles was $32.
Then eventually the water company is going to charge you for the bottles that haven't been returned. They keep records. I had Sparklettes once and had to scrounge up 3 or 4 empties or pay the deposit when I cancelled my service. $6 is the standard deposit for 5 gallon carboys.

I agree with rmp, until you square up with the water service, I wouldn't be so smug......good luck.....I once quit an ice cream truck job, and owed them $100 when I checked out!....lol

Buy those 5 gal jugs and find a water dispensing machine... 25cents for a fucking gallon.
I feed my ladies with tap. Between me, my girl and animals we go through 10 gallons a week. $2.50
But, you gotta pick it up yourself..
