Proper way to grow single cola plants

How do I grow single cola plants? Do I have to strip off everything from the stem and just have the main top growing (like a stick with leaves on the top) or do I just keep the brantches small so there is room to grow bud down the stalk. I see pics of single cola plants and there is bud all the way up and down. I don't see how it got like this is you have to take all the nodes off? Thanks a lot. If you are confused I can get a pic to explain.

Part of it is genetics, I have plants going now and within the same strain there are single cola plants and branchier plants. One trick I learned is that if you keep the plants close together so their leaves touch, the will stay more tower-like, with one big cola instead of the lower branches becoming prominent.

cool, I am using bubba kush so that means that it should stay a single cola because it is a single cola i hear. How should I trim it if I want it to finish at 2.5 feet single cola?

Hmmm, never thought of it like that before . . . usually try to keep my plants from touching, mostly for pest/disease control. Gonna have to try this.
Thanks for noticing.

Normally trimming off lowers after the initial 2 week onset will concentrate auxins into the remaining branches. That is the best way to successfully do it.

single cola plants have nothing to do with genetics. you people amaze me with how little yo know single cola plants are plants that are force flowered b 4 they have 5 nodes or in other words when your plant is about 8 inches tall induce flower heres the result
I have grown plants that vegged for 8 weeks, had way more than 5 nodes that have towered out instead of branching- 3ft. plants with 2ft.+ long colas.

P.S.- Mr. Fishy, I am not saying to cram your plants together so that all the leaves are overlapping, just close enough so that the tips of the leaves touch.

this will olny insure that the plants energy will be concentrated on the higher branches. it will not produce single cola plants. read above thats how its done capiche?

mabey you can guess why but just in case you cant. YOUR LIGHT IS TOO HIGH AND YOUR PLANTS STRETCH.
ALSO SATIVAS GROW TALLER AND LANKYIER ANY WAY. BUT FOR THE 3RD TIME. THE WAY TO GET SINGLE COLA PLANTS IS TO INDUCE FLOWER WHEN YOUR PLANT IS 8 INCHES OR UNDER

Actually, I am talking about outdoor plant here. So the stretch thing is out the window- and I am talkign multiple strains here, not one sativa strain, so that goes out the window also...you are on a roll :peace:

As far as putting the plants closer together to shape them. try it out. I have stated a clear observation based on my experience. I encourage others to try out stuff and report the results.

LISTEN SONNY I PROVIDED A ANSWER TO A QUESTION"PROPER WAY TO MAKE SINGLE COLA PLANTS" I AND PROOF IN PICS. YOU PROVIDE A UNPROVEN THEROY AND FIGHT TO THE DEATH TO BACK IT UP AND YOUR WRONG. CRAMMING THEM TOGETHER WILL ONLY INSURE MORE UNDER DEVELOPED BUDS NOT SINGLE COLAS ITS NOW BLARING OBVIOUS YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH CULTAVATION OF MARIJUANA. SO THAT GOSE
'OUT THE WINDOW"

Actually, if you look at the pics you posted, it was just the top of the plant. Could be a lot of branches making buds lower. just saying.
