As the title states.. with the door closed it reaches up to around 83-85* if the house is at a decent temp, even hotter if the ac is off during the middle of the day.. it gets to 100* easy everyday where I live and the back wall of the closet is connected to the garage wall(the oven of the house)... Anyways I open the door and leave it open for a while just to bring the temps down a bit, they stay around 73*-76* with the door open. I know 83*-85* isn't horrible but im really wanting to stay under 80*.. for intake I have a 80cfm inline booster fan(4"), and exhaust is a 250cfm booster fan (6") and for ventilation a 6" clip on fan. Room is 18.375 cubic feet. These temps are for 2 100w CFLs on.. after my seedlings get to about a week I plan to have all 4 on. At about a month ill put my 250w hydrofarm ballast and reflector CFL in, including smaller CFL bulbs for side/low lighting. This room is for a mother BTW. What are some ideas that you guys n gals have done to reduce heat in small closets?

Get a real exhaust fan, those booster fans are worthless. It may claim 250cfm, but i doubt you are getting 25cfm out of it. I know i threw mine in the trash for this same reason, spend the money now and it will last you for years.

Yeah I was thinking about that the other day. I know they're not that great bu I couldn't afford to buy a $150 fan at the moment. I guess I'll have to soon then.

It is loud, but an amazing amount of air movement for the money http://www.harborfreight.com/8-inch-portable-ventilator-97762.html
I have been running mine for more than 3 years now, no issues. A little bit of diy and you can make your own "in-line" fan out of it for about 1/3 of what a comparable inline would run.
damn that thing can move some air! how long is it? and how loud is it? the closet is in my room on 24/7 cycle so id be sleeping while its on and I already know my gf would bitch about it all the time lol

Looks plenty big to me. I attached one to the side of a 20" Rubbermaid tote and have a 600watt cooltube in there. Now thats a tight fit..but seriously get innovative that's a nice sized space

if you go look on ebay at inline fans, there are some that move about 250 cfm for about 25.00 for a 6". you can put a hose on them pretty easy. they have some good brands too.
