What temps should I use if not using a vac 110* and under?

And if using the homemade vac oven should it be 110* and above? And under 131*

I'm shooting for honeycomb crumbly texture.

Please any help is appreciated im making it tomorrow morning

I get it at 90-100F. takes like a week though.

yerrrrppp..

with the hand pump, pump it as much as you can! set the chamber in a warm environment 90F ish, and let it ride out. (DONT PLACE IN HEAT ABOVE 105f)

i would re pump the chamber daily just to make sure you are at full pump.

for each gram, id say about 3-5 days of purging, good luck! thats all i can give you based on what i have seen

vacpurge it at 130 and just let it run, usually the better the stuff the faster it waxes

First, you must become one with the extract, be, and experience the extract.

Once you've done that...travel down inside the honeycomb hide-out, and ask the honey bee how he built the comb...lol

I'm just fuckin with ya...lol

As Many have said already, patience, patience...do not rush things..

For honeycomb depending on the strain and 1.3 million other variables, low temps are key..I go for 100-105ish

This took 24 hours to ” comb”

So for those of you that do 100-105* is that in a vac chamber?

my 2 stage 6 cfm 10 micron cps vac pump has been running for 24hrs right now, and is at about 120*,, very little reaction is taking place..

but before i got a legit setup, i would just spray onto pyrex and use heat and it would be crumbly in about 5 hrs.

yes. thats IN the chamber... the exact temp of the oil/chamber.. no other way to do it. anything else is inaccurate: I can start at 85F and by the time the vacuum pulls a full vacuum it goes up 5 or 6F in that few seconds JUST from the vacuum. its an instant and very accurate way to tell the temp. no pointing a temp gun at the chamber or griddle and doing some unreliable math to get an approx temp of the oil.

Well, I don't think you're doing anything wrong my friend.

But, that being said...
I don't chop or grind my bud, usually break down by gloved hand into pieces the size of a marble.

I've tinkered with packing the tube..you want that shit packed nice and tight, but not too much, very fine line.

I stick to 320 ml of tane per oz.

*Thin film is super super critical *

If I'm not able to fit my dish into my chamber, I scrape and sandwich the oil in between parchment, and use a rolling pin to really flatten out the oleoresin.

Best thing I've done so far, is finding a suitable dish that will fit inside your chamber.

Reduces agitation, and nucleation points.

hm thats very interesting. ill have to keep that in mind on my next batch.

I made a batch that was 6 grams nice chopped weed and 6 grams pure crystal from my grinder... it waxed up in 12 hours at 110F... I think it related to how pure or potent maybe the product is.

I get most of my stuff to dry out and crumble after a full day under max vac with my hand vac and around 95F. I usually flatten small quantities like 2-3 grams out between parchment paper with a rolling pin and then vac it. Glad I finally have a chamber and pump just have to extract more before I can use it!

so when you guys flatten out your oil to a thin layer with a rolling pan... and then it waxes... arent you just getting such a thin layer of shit on the paper thats so thin its hard to deal with and handle? seems that if it were that thin it would just dry up in a bunch of crumbs, not a nice thick wax chunk

yeah you got nice thick chunks. I love it. how? just by having a mass amount I guess. and maybe a small chamber. mine is 10" diameter.

i have a small plate that has a slight curve to it so when it gets hot it pools in the middle

yeah thats what I need... something with a very steep curve though!!! like a funnel shape or something but metal so I can still heat it and make a nice thick chunk of wax. that would be cool.
