Hello! just went back to check on my plot about a week after I planted. I planted 7 germed seeds (bag) directly into a mixed soil. ( mixed some good soil with orginial ground soil) so far I have 3 babies sporuted.. about an inch tall each of them.

I'll post some pics and kee you guys updatated!

I feel this plot is a good size for a begginer.. agreed? :joint:

feel free to post tips, comments ect. any post is much appreciated.

A few questions:

I'm worried about the soil.. it looks thick but its a mix.. do you think the soil looks healthy eneough?

Also, is there anything i should be doing to these babies? feeding them nutes, repellent ect.. what do i need? the weather is posted below for my area.. should be around 75-85 F with some scattered showers all week.. what do you guys suggest with this weather ect..?

thanks

Good Luck - generally if you put sproutlings directly into your plot they die shortly thereafter.

I generally start mine inside and put them out once they are about a foot tall. Then they are more established and more likely to survive. (and from clone so they are already sexed)

But Things could work out fine for you. It's all about giving them what they need.

You should protect them for a couple weeks if you want them to survive and not get eaten. Cut the ends off a soda bottle or something and put it around the seedlings. Or go buy some chicken wire or something and make a cage. One bite from a deer and those things are gone.

^ is that what happened to your plot too? my first plot (fail) an animal came and dug up all my of my pots :(

I live north east in the US.

But tomorrow I will be putting a fence around the area and/or ill be putting some soda cans around the plants to protect them a bit. I do not think deer would even be in this area, as the surroundings are very bushy and condense. But I laid a big bottle of saved piss (gross haha) around the plot hopin g that will keep small game away. I will check on them tommorow and upload some new pics!

thanks for the tips and advice guys!

Sounds like perfect deer teritory to me,where im at deer prefer to hang out in thickets, brambles & acres of tear your ass up thorn bushes.

My grow is in a heavy thorn area mainly to keep asshole people out, deer go where they want no matter whats ahead of them they just put their head down & go foward.

Also I was wondering if you guys had any tips about how to cover my plot to make it look more natural from the air... time to time some heli's do fly around here.. is there something i can grow along side the pot or once they grow big enough will they look more natural and fit in.

Well one thing you can do, is not make a visible path to the patch if its in the woods or grown in area, not really sure from looking at your pics. A slightly beaten path can be very visible from the air. So try to get all your work done on one visit and not visit too much. Go in from 2 or 3 different routes is good too. Once they get bigger you could bring in some dead vegetation and lay it down as like a mulch. So it doesnt look so much like a garden, but I would let them grow and get as much sun as possible before doing that.

I know its hard for people not to visit their plants often and since yours are so small you kind of have no choice. :-?

I dont think you got much to worry about just yet too much, lol. But if they survive and get big, you will, so try not to beat in too much of a path.

alright thanks for the tips Magilla.

Also, if they do survive.. when do you think it would be the best time to lay down the maulch and make it blend in more.. i dont want it so visible as it is now :?

but i do try to take differnt path's to plot.. it is kind of coming out ofthe woods (after you go through the woods of course) its in an more open area .. then on both sounds (all four actually) there are woods and thick bush.

I'll post more pics tommorow, better ones. I'll show you my plot a little bit better

Id say when they are like 6-8 inches tall you could start pulling up some weeds and bringing them in there and laying them around your plants. It looks like you cleared out a square like a garden so thats not too stealthy. Hopefully not many people go back there. You dont want nothing touching your plants though especially when they are flowering, thats how you get the mold.

^touching the plants you mean like no mulch even touching the stems?
My plot is actually very hard to see and annoying to get to.. its a few acres of land owned buy some rich old doctor who is never outside in the thick of thorn bushes and brush :P

Maybe i should bring some brush from another area and bring it tothe site? because i could possible make the whole thing worse by using brush from around the plot :X lol

I'll post some pictures tommorow showing u my plot better...

but damnit.. i should've grown in pots and stuck them in the brush instead of digging it all out... sigh :( lol next year
