Home for Hempy Growers?

I saw this new sub-section popup today. Is this the place on RIU for Hempy growers to post threads?

Since our run-off ends up down the loo, I think it qualifies as d-t-w

I thought about this, IMO some hempy growers may not see it as D-T-W, as with careful feeding, waste can be minimal. .. Also a Hempy can be made to recirculate.

I just wish they would have called it 'Hempy' or created 'the' subsection. ... I think it would have shown a certain level of respect for the system and the growers who are amongst the most enthusiastic of any growers.

I don't want to piss anybody off but I personally think the term D-T-W to be old skool. Create D-T-W section by all means I don't think it will be as 'happening' as a 'Hempy' section.

Come on guys 'Hempy' is the current BUZZ word. .. Lets just do this right!!!! lol

I think it's just a misleading heading and I see no reason for it, It should be something Alternative growing mediums ...

IMO Alternative grow mediums doesnt mean much though. Everything's an alternative to something else. What the mods are 'rightly' focusing on is the method as with many 'methods' there are many choices of medium.

A cool thing would have been to run a poll. It would have made the members feel more involved in the site. .. failing that; the stats say something. The WOH thread has had nearly 100,000 views in 9 months when in the same sub-section Batch of clones in Rockwool has had 120,000 since 2007, and thats a sticky.

I think it would be one of the busiest and friendliest sections on RIU. .. I know many who would write up some amazing stickies to explain the basics too.

I personally think drain to waste is the most common and popular commercial system for large commercial agriculture crops
because it is superior in many ways.

i think the world of hempy should be a sticky under dtw and i agree with moe about the different mediums, i think the different mediums fall under a lot of categories and is easier to generalize things with the process of growing they fall under. Im really glad to see that riu is still making changes though~~keep it up fella's! i check up on world of hempy daily through my smart phone. only problem i have with the mobile phone is when i try and look at a picture it keeps reloading every time i try to zoom into it

Its a moot point now. The mods have decided this is the Hempy section and moved us. Its all good, as I said earlier 'Subsection-Takeover' LOL

Thanks Nizza. Its been great to have your support for WOH. as long as people keep viewing I think the 'Hempyneers' will keep doing posting.

Its quite a high traffic thread so regularly gets bumped to the top so its not really necessary for it to be stickied. It would be quite nice for the recognition of our thread though .

And I agree ... Big thanks to Hellraizer and co. for the work rearranging things.
