5 Weeks In. How is she looking?!

Today is Week 5 of my first grow in Scotts Potting Soil (.07-.01-.03)
It was in Miracle Gro until a week ago.
I have three 100W 5400 bulbs going 24/7. Intake/Exhaust fans.
Temperature is usually between 78-88
rH is usually between 25-35%

The plant as of today is 4in height.
I'm transplanting it to a 1 gallon pot within the week as soon as I finish my bigger grow cabinet.
I'm concerned about the yellowing leaf. Its only the very bottom leaves.
But other than that, how does she look?

Looks like you are watering too much and it will def be happier in a bigger pot. Are you using nutes already cause if so don't for a while and let it flush a bit.

Way to much water looks like a soggy mess

And Scotts prob isint much better then miracle grow. Pretty sure Scotts has time release nutes to

The more you water the more nutes are released... Hints the soggy mess with yellow leaves

She will look better with less watering and a bigger pot. Styrofoam is no good for seedlings either, just my two cents. Good luck, she is going to need it.

It's not the best, but I've seen worse on here. It's time to transplant though. I'm guessing this is your first grow and let me just tell you that transplanting is easier then you think. Just look up how to do it if you have any questions.

No nutes. I have been watering it like every 3 days or so when I felt the soil was dry. Already have the pots, but I was growing in a PC case so I can't move to the bigger pot until I'm finished the big cabinet.

Bigger pot, too much water, not enough light. That plant is definitely rootbound. Looks terrible for 5 weeks. Not trying to be a dick, but damn.

I'm not sensitive. Not really sure about the watering problem though. The soil is damn near bone dry when I water it. Its maybe been about twice a week. I guess I'll go with watering once a week. But as far as the light, I'm reading approximately 4000 lumens. What would be optimum?

Do you pH test/balance your water? Too acidic or alkaline soil will inhibit the plants ability to take in nutrients; stalling growth. Water with 6.5~ pH water after a transplant into a bigger pot with some decent soil; cut standard home improvement store with perlite to make it less dense. Reading helps a ton man, knowledge is power. As for you lighting, 4,000 lumens on that little thing isn't your main concern at this point.

Im a first time grower aswell and apart some issues i had on my plants with the soil not having the correct PH they are doing fine now, yours though are lot more burned out(turning yellow or lefs drooping).Mine is in 5th week veg, thinking of moving her to 12/12 end this week.Aswell might be the light, kinda same looking like issues u have aswell(droopy leafs, turning yellow on edges).I started with 1 cfl, now went for 2,im on 3840 lumens(might be tad lower as im using one static and one mobile cfl's).

Here is a pic on how mine looks like on 5 weeks(If u see the most bottom leaf near the soil, ull see that it looks like yours almost)

this is lol ! Do you have holes in thet cup so the extra water can drain out ? What kind of lightes are these 100W, it must be something incorect for plant growing.

yeah, bigger pot.... for 5 weeks ...it's really small... use a 2 gallon or bigger...

could be a lighting issue too...4000 lumens is going to give you slooooow growth rate... my canopy always has at least 32,000 lumen in both veg and flower...

Yeah the cups have drain holes. The lights are 100w CFL bulbs Daylight rated at 5400.

32000? Shit. I dont even know if I wont blow a fuse with all the lights I'd need for that.
And as far as the pot, I already know I need to transplant it, but Ive been growing in a PC until the actual grow closet was finished. I just have to line it with something reflective and add a couple addtl fluro tubes and I'm good to go with that. Probably will be done this week.

Thanks. Perlite was on the list next time I hit the store. I havent tested the soil or water ph. I'm almost 100% sure this plant is some reggie bud. Its my crash test dummy basically. I've been reading, months before I even got a seed to germ, but I can read as many medical journals as I want but it still doesn't make me a doctor without the actual experience, so this is my clinical pretty much.

you can get 32000 lumen from bulbs as small as 250W... my 400W MH puts out 32000 lumen from about a foot away...with protective glass...
