What is the real truth ?

I just read this:

Fracking the truth ? Interesting article by John Stossel

Interesting read, especially this part:

"......President Obama's first EPA administrator, Lisa Jackson, told Congress that the EPA cannot show "that the fracking process has caused chemicals to enter groundwater."..........."

The head of the EPA, said no chemicals have ever entered ground water... The EPA...

Wow... Read the whole article ...

Since Lawyers run the country, it seems that if there was a problem with groundwater, the EPA would know ? Why are the radical environmentalist lying about it ?

They are poisoning the water so they can sell clean water to those who can afford it.

best deal is no deal. this will hurt everyone who gets into it. the land will be screw and twice as hard to fix considering the contaminates in the air( acid rain) with the fracking it will just amplify the problem.

lol flouride is not poisonous and in fact beneficial in many ways in the small amount in which it is present in your drinking water..their are many bad things in drinking water however dont get me wrong..their are towns producing natural gas where the water has become undrinkable in the past they could literally light it on fire, now that is something to worry about.

Flouride is great for your teeth, and TERRIBLE for your insides. If you think drinking flouride in tap water is "beneficial", you should get a job at the EPA. I have worked for a large oil company. Fracking is one of the most polluting acts that violates ground water. A slury of over 350 chemicals that WILL give everyone in your family cancer, and then a few aliments that nobody's ever heard of.

What's the deal with fracking?

The deal is your children and their children will develop disease and sickness for the next 100 years while oil companies and dickfaces line their pockets and tell you drinking fluoride in your water is safe. Use your brain people.

We have great Fraking thread in Science. It's not about the lies of Politics, however. It's about how fraking is conducted and how all these fears are baseless considering the gain.

"Baseless"? "Gain"? So lighting your sinkwater on fire, or having your land ruined is "baseless"? How about cancer? Is that good enough reason for concern? Go visit Pennsylvania. Whatever you say, guy.

How much water is used during the fracking process?
Generally 1-8 million gallons of water may be used to frack a well. A well may be fracked up to 18 times.
What fluids are used in the fracking process?
For each frack, 80-300 tons of chemicals may be used. Presently, the natural gas industry does not have to disclose the chemicals used, but scientists have identified volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene.

You are not proposing facts just fear. And I suppose you did check out the Science before you knee-jerked out a response? No. Why not?

Don't you want to know or perhaps you just want to parrot? Well water has natural gas. When you can show a clear case where the well was contaminated, and not just some guy lighting up a demonstration, we can talk about the facts of that exact situtaion. We can discusss, was it a casing failure, before the new standards were in place.

Don't worry guys and gals. People are just blowing this out of proportion and exaggerating. FYI when the water comes back out of the ground, these companies DO NOT always truck away the waste water 100% of the time. They will just dump it wherever the fuck they please. Fact.

really? that looks pretty factual to me. Listen guy. Read above. I have worked for and been involved in fracking working for an oil company. You sound JUST like people i used to work with. Go ahead and trust the oil companies to look after your drinking water. They chemicals pumped into the ground would have never made it into the drinking water in the first place.

We have a guy on other thread, worked the casing and drilling...he says you are wrong. So, to me, facts are the peer reviewed research that went into the EPA permits.

So, I will gladly read some actual research on what you claim, if you can produce any.

My sense is there are no chemicals that are some un-natural concoctions like they put in cigarettes. No CHEMICALS.

Sand, Benonite Clays, what else?

Show the paperwork, I'm not interested spouted sentences and calling that fact. Peer reviewed only, please.

I won't be a troll anymore. I have stated my case. If you are sure that its blown out of proportion and just a media scare, then go to Pennslyvania and drink a nice glass of tap water. Peace a nd chicken grease. No hard feelings, Doer.

Wrong about what? what have i said here that is untrue? All you say is that my facts are not so. Lets hear it.

YOU sir have not presented one fact in your case other than saying I'm wrong.

I am not saying you are lying. But it's obvious you can't stand disagreement. So, facts, not your opinions, victim.

Easy Question.

What Chemicals?

Are tons of chemicals NOT pumped into the ground? You're implying the EPA's standards are protecting us? I'm confused about what is is you think.

No. I love a good debate. I cant stand conservative pig headed ways of thinking. You think cause you have read a thread you, know how fracking works or how the emissions are "regulated"? You have still yet to give me ONE fact supporting your vision of how fracking effects everyone other than yourself.

What chemicals? Don't be asking me to support the fact there are any chemicals involved.
