Quitting Marijuana & Withdrawl Symptoms?

Yup that is what people call em. Brain shocks.

I went cold turkey from 300mg because the place that sent me my meds for free failed to tell me they were out of stock. Yet I got an automated message saying it was being shipped.

I went 5 days without it and then had to buy two weeks halfdosage to hold me over. I never went back to full dosage. Ef that. I am not running out of meds again.

I try to avoid the pharmaceutical drugs as much as possible , I watched them slowly destroy a loved one with grief , misery , addiction, withdrawal, organ failure and then eventually death .. I dont take anything myself and have no intentions of taking any of these poisons ever again ..

Pills to me represent greed and evil , real medicine is from our mother earth

I appreciate the comment but weed is my last vice. I've tried many different drugs, quit them all, in fact I recently quit consuming caffeine. My symptoms are directly related to weed. Now granted the symptoms are different, very different- opiates, cocaine, etc. Regardless, the feelings I am experiencing are a result of removing marijuana from my life. I wish I was like others and didn't experience these symptoms but I do.
If you quit caffeine, herbs should be no problem. Caffeine is incredibly addictive!

You need to reset your daily cycle. There are lots of little tricks to help you through it. For instance, doing any given task for no more than 30 minutes will keep you busy. Make sure you change this behavior for at least one month. One month, one day at a time. Be sure to give yourself breaks. This isn't a task, its a goal! Remove all reminders of that which you want to change and remind yourself of your goal.

If this is real for you (it sounds like it is... Why else post this on an MJ site? lol) then you need to ignore naysayers and do what's good for you. I'd say good luck, but luck has nothing to do with life changes. Truthfully, if you still want herbs in your life after you've regained control, that's gonna take some luck. Most addictive behaviors cannot be resumed after they have been negated.

Remember: Pause, Reflect, Act. I can't stress this enough. Pause. Reflect. Act. You can do what you want.

Well I was started on antidepressants when I was 14. Effexor has few side affects, but horrible withdrawals. I hope to one day be free of it, but I have to take it one step at a time.

My mom couldn't exactly give me weed, lol.

I had some serious problems. Through counseling, constant support, and meds I was able to get through each day. She made the best choice at the time for me.

I agree with the majority of the responders.

You prob have anger/anxiety problems and weed helps with that. It would be irresponsible of you to simply dismiss the notion that something chemical or emotional is at play here.

~~~~~~~
Try a prescription hardcore antidepressant and go cold turkey after 4 years. That shit will fuck you up.
I take effexor xr and within 24 hours of it being out of my system I am dizzy, nauseated, weird tingly feelings at the base of my skull, crying, sweating and that is only the beginning.
My wife is on Effexor, she hates it but cannot fathom going through hell to get off it. The word 'Effexor' makes me irritable. Its terrible shit to put someone on long term.
I am down to 150mg. I have a cousin who is on 37.5 mg and she gets withdrawals when without.
I have read testamonies of people who slowly wean themselves down and STILL get withdrawals. Scary stuff.
It is terrible, terrible shit. And to think, it's weed that is outlawed. Ridiculous.
funny thing is my relationship with weed. See, I LOVE it, been smoking for 16 years now, since I turned 16. But I have a habit of just fucking smoking through it and when it's gone, its gone. So I have these stoned periods followed by a week of me being a cock and regaining my acuity. Needless to say, I'm waiting on the next dirge. So I understand the cycle of have and have not so well, it seems easy to me.
It isn't a joke though, habitual behavior can be a fucking nightmare to break.
I agree, Marijuana should be LEGAL. I don't think it should be sold behind a counter at a store (nor do I think tobacco or alcohol should). Prescription drugs invented by big pharma are super bad and have terrible side effects, I know first hand.
I'm not worried about it helping me. Plenty of folks out there dealing with cancer, MS, and a host of other really shitty diseases that could use the weed.
I've been thinking about it a lot and I don't use marijuana medicinally.
I use it as a coping mechanism. Whenever something isn't going good, I'm smoking. Issue at work, smoke. Issue at home, smoke. I think this is where my 'addiction' stems from.
I agree with you but only on a self sustainability standpoint. If you enjoy these things you should be alowed to make them yourself. We pay for convinence these day because most people dont have the time in their schedules to roll cigars from tobacco and brew their own suds. :):):)
Withdrawals are a physical thing if you're an asshole when you don't smoke it because you're an asshole. If you're saying that you're ONLY an asshole when you don't smoke then you probably shouldn't stop smoking! I can say with 100% certainty I am a huge bitch. Extreme cunt. But because I smoke every couple of hours I'm tolerable. Yes when I stop smoking I go all ultra bitch but only because the trees are the only thing keeping me from being that way all the time! As far as I can tell you need to use the trees as a medicine to get your mind right.
Sounds like your the one who needs help!!!!!!!!! Go smoke a Dobbie and hug a tree....you will be all better.....
