Ok guys going to do my first grow and wanted to know if you think this is a smart move, I need 160 bottles of still water for my DWC project, I was thinking rather than go back and forth to Tesco's which is far away to buy water, to buy from them online and get them to deliver me 160 bottles of it they sell 1 bottle of 2ltr for 17p, how would you guys go about it ?

Tap water or buy an RO filter if your water is that bad.

160 bottles...Not a smart move at all. Water weighs a lot for being cheap. Probably cost your 5$ to ship 50 cents worth of water.

parts per million what range should It be to and from thank you, I will be using tap water florabloom and floragrow and floramicro for my nutrients.

Before adding nutes you want to use the lowest PPM possible. It's healthier for the plant, plus your PPM won't vary as much when you add nutes. That way you know what your looking at everytime. If that makes sense.

everyones about PPM these days..

"TDS- Total dissolved solids" tells us how pure our water is. The measurement that calculates this is "EC - Electrical conductivity", which is then converted into a measurement called "PPM - Part per million"

Now

"PPM = parts per million" has 3 different tables that it references

You dont know which table your fellow grower is advising you to follow unless he specifies(2 posts on this thread were a suddle exchange of this info).....or its with the EC measurement since it is Universal. Even then its still not dependable in all cases, for example lets say you are getting water from a well with minerals. Those minerals might mean little to your plant but your ppm reading is saying 8000PPM!!! Well your plant should be dead right? Wrong

Let me show you a plant grown in 8000PPM(.7), this baby was only 2 weeks old

Not perfect but none the less, healthy. Not saying to try this but just saying there are many variables.

Now that I got that all cleared up let me take a drag:joint::cool:

Not saying to drop your ppm meters at all. If your familiar with it and with your water source, or even better yet you have a reverse osmosis system you then can get an idea how much nutes you have in your water. I would prefer EC since its one value for all EC meters in the world.

Now im going to say something thats not in the modern day 'Forum' text book............. listen to your plants.

Start small with nutes and slowly work your way up, start seeing burn on your tips then back off, wait till all is good again and add a bit more, Find your strains potential. Some genetics can take more then others.

so when someone says use so and so ppm, Dont listen. Listen to your plants instead, they will tell you. On this note tread lightly (start small)

Oh since your going to use your tap water ask for a water report from your city, they will give to you for free. Chlorine needs to be aerated out.

Cheers from Canada:peace:

Wouldn't it be better to just order 320? That way you could probably save on shipping...
I just got an awesome belly laugh off of this, thank you!
Order 160 bottles of water online, HAHAHAHAHA.
I hope you were joking, but something tells me you are not...
