when your electric bill gets too high they start sending letters about how your bill is watever percentage higher than the average of your neighbors......... ignore enough letters and they send one of their electrical engineer guys to your house...........large grows either steal the power or use generators...................u have to do everything yourself or its not a secret and u will get busted word gets around...............i think a used container is like five grand thats a big difference from the excavator u will need your not just gonna go rent one u will need some sort of liscense and a probably a huge deposit

you think big grow ops are cheap? you need to do what you need to do, if that means getting the license and paying a deposit on an excavator then so be it. as for electric you can say you have hobbies that use electric, i heard somone say pottery wheels use more than a kw on electric, combine that with the tv on an electric heater, and your computer checkinh facebook, along with you,re aquarium and reptile tank that is almost 4kw right there, not everyone who has a high electric bill is growing pot, i heard of people having more than 5kw on a regular house and having no problem except for heat.

Oh and to the op, its quite easy to build a room underground, I have a lot of mexican friends, you know the construction worker type. And I've personally seen their crew of about 6 dudes build an all out basement in a week..
Find yourself some construction friends, no need for pods and containers. Its just like a basement. And tell your neighbors your adding or renovating.
I've never had anyone say anything to me.

Seriously you are paranoid, they can't just raid you're house because of electric ffs.
end of discussion, For all they know you could be using high power on keeping kennels warm, pottery wheel, kids, multiple xbox/pc. electric heaters are over 1kw its not a problem unless you are using massive amounts of power.

Yup think about it like this, my microwave, oven, fridge/freezer, ac/heat, water heater are all over 1000 watts , my water heater is actualy something like 3200 watts. Then you think about your dishwasher , dryer/washing machine. Your lights are a fraction of the electricity most houses use. You can easily run several 1000watt lights or a few 600s.
Especially if your elec. was high from the start
