I don't believe in time travel, but I can't completely explain this photo.

I think you're just trying to make excuses for us to believe you, look I KNOW vintage, I am the vintage fucking queen I could open up 12 shops with the amount of clothes i have lol its 1941 not the 1800's if they could get print on ties they could get print on tshirts, as much as I would love time travel to be real , and have evidence this photo has been proven multiple times over to just be a casual university student with fashionable shades a sweater he probably made himself
Excuse me, if you came to my thread to insult me instead of help you are welcome to not participate in the conversation. My remarks were not excuses. As I said, this is all riding on a bet. I wanted clarification, not to debate with trolls.

Oh, and in case you are a sensitive "Queen" . . NO, I was not calling you a troll, I'm just not one to debate.

Then I would rethink your knowledge on vintage fashion everything he is wearing is current for that era. Either way I didn't mean to be rude it just came off like you know everything because you own a vintage shop, its like youre making excuses as in

:"WELL ACTUALLY THE SKY ISNT REALLY BLUE BECAUSE.."

My knowledge on vintage works just fine for me sweetheart. Keep in mind you don't know me that well to stake claims on my mentality. Lets not get crazy ok.

The back story is that my BF believes in time travel and I don't. He showed me this link http://www.trutv.com/conspiracy/paranormal/time-travelers/gallery.html?curPhoto=10 and we made a bet that I could NOT debunk all the photos and show that time travel is nonsense.

translation: I will only listen to explanations that support my claims.

Since you know vintage then you're also aware that college students sometimes wore their father's letterman sweaters when they attended the same college. It was a declaration of legacy and tradition.

well i debunked it for you, either way no matter what someone wants to believe you won't change their mind. if they believe in time travel they are only going to listen to biased opinions on the matter then both parties and figure out the facts and decide what is the better party to go with

Perhaps I should clarify for you. I recognize vintage and I don't understand the people that once wore it. How many years in the vintage clothing business do you have by the way. Do you run your own store?

Well too bad about the whole time travel myth being busted. I woulda loved going back in time like Marty Mcfly in a kick ass Delorian that could fly.

[Dr. Emmett Brown is doubting Marty McFly's story about that he is from the future]
Dr. Emmett Brown: Then tell me, future boy, who's President of the United States in 1985?
Marty McFly: Ronald Reagan.
Dr. Emmett Brown: Ronald Reagan? The actor?
[chuckles in disbelief]
Dr. Emmett Brown: Then who's vice president? Jerry Lewis?
[rushing out and down a hill toward his laboratory]
Dr. Emmett Brown: I suppose Jane Wyman is the First Lady!
Marty McFly: [following Doc] Whoa. Wait, Doc!
Dr. Emmett Brown: And Jack Benny is secretary of the treasury.
Marty McFly: [outside the lab door] Doc, you gotta listen to me.
Dr. Emmett Brown: [opens the door to the lab] I've had enough practical jokes for one evening. Good night, future boy!
[closes the door leaving Marty outside]
Marty McFly: No, wait, Doc. Doc. The-the-the bruise on your head, I know how that happened. You told me the whole story. You were standing on your toilet and you were hanging a clock, and you fell and you hit your head on the sink. And that's when you came up with the idea for the flux capacitor,
[somberly]
Marty McFly: which is what makes time travel possible.
[Doc opens the door and looks at Marty with a stunned look on his face]

also that link to tru tv is like reading weekly world news and taking it seriously.View attachment 2530499 i do love me some sc-fi though
Ha ha ha . . . I've read that garbage before too and I also agree that the website is garbage. I am just in my usual right fight with a man who thinks time travel is real and also that aliens have visited the us and built stone and crystal structures. The second topic we still argue about to this day. We also had an argument about whether a feminine emperor could have ruled over feudal China.

my dad was born in 1933 (still alive). My mother in 1935. I have boxes of photos and "vintage" clothing. Some are very similar to your time traveler. My uncle was an amazing athlete. He fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He had several lettered sweaters knitted by my grandmother. No two look alike. How could they?

Thanks for the unwanted family history, but I was asking more about your habits in dealing with vintage clothing now. What your grandmother knitted long ago isn't necessarily considered vintage clothing :-)

Ah ya, aliens did build all those crystal and stone structures silly and no way about the woman ruleing china, sorry, no man in those days would put up with that in that point in history. And Rollitup is awsome unless Bmeats giving you advice. I love this place bitches!! :):):)

No, thank you for the pointless unwanted thread. So far your vintage expertise is pretty pathetic. Have fun with your delusions.
