New Dispensary Bill

Been growing for 10 years. Learned everything I know from freedom fighters, the strains I grow were developed by so called criminals. Regardless of what some fucked up idiot decides to type is legal or not the good people will go on growing and distributing just as it has all along. Maybe if more people had the balls to grow and medicate as well as care for patients instead of worrying what some dickhead say you can or can not do! I hate looking on here all the time and seeing people seeing anything positive in others ruling there lives. All a crock o shit in my book! I hope it gets fully legalized and I hope that the hard working people that made it all possible (yes the recreational users and breeders for the last 50 years) are still able to grow legally. But in my opinion that not what will happen. But we love the plant, say fuck the government and do whats right! Quit being sheep, put a big pot leaf shirt on before you go out in public, and thank the ones that did it before it was legal.

Do folks think dispensaries should be allowed to grow themselves, or should they be required to obtain their meds from Michigan caregivers with overages? If so, how do folks propose making sure said Michigan caregivers supply their patients first and the dispensaries second?

No motivations here, just a question and would like to hear the thoughts of the board.

Dr. Bob
Both, the source of their meds shouldn't be limited.

there is a problem-

with caregivers stiffing patients to sell meds to disp. i even had patients selling the meds at the disp at one point.

Nothing is perfect i guess. My patients understand that i couldn't afford to grow for them if we didn't have dispensaries or some sort of way to dump overages. Guess i'd like to see the disp bill make it through if it didn't get molested on it's way.

if a patient is being screwed by their caregiver find another caregiver. not much different than anything else. i went through several family dr's before i found one i liked. same thing with dentists or mechanics. there are many good caregivers out there you just need to be patient pardon the pun, and find them. i have no problem with anyone getting rid of overages to a dispensary but not at the cost of your patient.

agreed.

but sadly many can no longer afford to support the pt who only receives free meds because of low income. i cannot support myself by doing so anymore and that sucks.

or the guys who have RSO and donate to the person who needs a full treatment.

good caregivers exist and we make great medicine, and cheaper than you would find in any store..

go to a bud tender ask if they are able to tell you if the grower used malathion on the meds when it was grown.. you can't test for it yet anywhere . and i, im sure we all know growers who sneak it in when they have problems.. i don't. but i can assure you of that..

that is my point. you can have a conversation with the guy who grew it.

Might sound like a cheap skate here but it's the main reason I never offered free meds to my patients. I don't grow meds for free, don't expect the grow supply to give me free supplies nor the electric company to provide free electric service......

I usually do keep one slot open though, ready to take on a terminally ill patient and i'd do it for free. Could really only afford to do this for one patient though.

From what I read it seems that P2P and C2P are still illegal and that the only entity that can receive overages is a provisioning center. Did I miss something?

That bill still has a long ways to go and I wouldn't get my hopes up that it's going to pass.

If I can only provide meds to dispensaries I don't know that it'd want it to. It is better than nothing but it's faaaar from good if I read it correctly.

i can't offer free meds either but i will keep my patients costs low as i possibly can. much lower than any dispensary will charge and lower than you will find on craigslist. not in it to get rich. but if and when the dispensary bill passes and i have a safe outlet to pass on my overages i can then give my patients and even better deal.

I wrote the Rep. who indroduced this bill. In show of my support.

I suggest anyone else who supports this legislation to write a letter as well.

I don't see dispensaries as being a safe outlet. The one's I've worked with are awful, I have no idea what they did with everyone's money but for awhile they were paying people months after selling their meds. I've seen others that just vanish and of course when that happens all the caregivers get stiffed.

I see the high cost of dispensary only options as being bad for patients as well.

i will only work with specific collectives that i have ties to in one way or another. i've checked out some of the dispensaries in detroit and decided my time and energy was better spent in perfecting my craft for prospective patients and working only with a collective or 2 in a2 that i trust

fast tracked for august I've heard in the vine...

so the whole state goes blackout or we have to pay large fees to have centers.. the ones who are already in existence are automatically "grandfathered" in... and there should be farmer's markets or something that doesn't establish a monopoly for the existing 5 stores that this will help.

the counties that are still arresting patients.... for possession of all things... are still going to do so.. and this legislation doesn't give two shits about the patients or THEIR CAREGIVERS!

BYE BYE Michigan cottage industry economy that we worked so hard to create.. thought making jobs was a good thing?

I don't have anything worthwhile near me unfortunately and I'd rather skip them and go straight to the patient. It'll save us both money and we (CGs and patients) won't be beholden to whatever provisioners are in operation.

i think-

that the locality should have the right to choose all things. wanna be ahippy and grow ganj move to A2. wanna be an uptight asshat, move to xxxxx county(fill in the blank). in wyoming, it's legal, to drink and drive, with a loaded gun in the truck. should we hate them because we can't do that here?(we should be able to do that here)

Progress is progress.

Whats more important to me than protecting some un known variables, is patients rights, and for the sick to have access to this plant.

And as I read the bill. It does a pretty good job of regulating and protecting our rights.

Municipal bans can be over turned...
